Liked: The hostel is very central, in walking distance to all important sights, nice bars and good restaurants! The owner is nice and very very helpful. The athmosphere of the rooms is cosy and homelike!

Liked: This flat was the best thing I could have stumbled on for our stay in Budapest. Not only was the room large, spacious, and clean but included a full kitchen with dining room. Awesome! It felt like home. It also was located in a courtyard that had its own coded door, a lockable gate over the door, and a lock on the door into the flat which made it feel extremely safe. The location was perfect for walking and it was really close to the intersection of all the metro lines. The owner was also really helpful and laid out a ton of information about the city right when we arrived. He also threw in various discounts to restaurants and attractions and was around all the time to make sure our stay was the best it could be. Overall it was the most hospitable stay I have had during my travels.

Liked: Happy Flats was the BEST hostel we have ever stayed in, in all of Europe. We are frequent travelers and by far Happy Flats was our favorite hostel ever! The owners was incredibly nice and hospitable, the hostel itself was a beautiful flat fullofall the amenities you would have inside your own home. The flat was very clean and very close to all the attraction in Budapest. The owner gave us all the details of Budapest and hooked us up with discount coupons to several restaurants. We loved our stay at Happy Flats and would highly, highly recommend it to anyone. Happy Flat Hostel was our home away from home, it was just incredible!

Liked: I liked the comfortable atmosphere, modern equipment and big rooms. The location is central, nearly everything can be reached by foot, pedestrian zone is around the corner. But if you want to safe time i recommend to use a travelling card for public transport anyway (costs only about 3850 forint/12 euro).

Disliked: Entrance door to our appartment was something like a terrace door (it looked like one and we stayed in the ground floor). but it was lockable, so it seemed to be safe and we had no problems.

Disliked: I didn't dislike it but I just was thrown off by it. It is not really a hostel but a flat.

Liked: It wasn't a hostel at all - but a flat that we had to ourselves for 4 nights. The location was great, it was comfortable, and for the price we paid we got a ton. Washingmachine, shower, tv, kitchen - so much in our flat.

Liked: The owner was very helpful. He provided us with maps and loads of information about the city. He also provided us with some addresses of nice pubs and restaurants :-) (those were really good). We got an e-mail from the owner before we arrived in Budapest - he explained us how to reach his hostel and helped with finding a parking slot for our car (with discounted price). Also: in the hostel there was coffee/tea etc. so we felt very comfortable. Place is safe, clean and well maintained. It's located in the heart of Budapest; at least two tube stations are in a walking distance (not more that 1 minute). There is also a supermarket open 24h. Highly recommended! side note: we left some stuff in the hostel; the owner found it and send it back to us!

Liked: What did I like about HappyFlat? Pretty much everything! The room was very clean, kitchen and living area was huge (plus the kitchen had more facilities than most hostels I've been to), but the best part about HappyFlat is the owner Csaba. I was greeted by his big smile, he spend a good 15 minutes meticulously taking me through maps and marking out all the places he could recommend, was always available for any questions I had, printed out my ongoing tickets for me, walked me to the train station on my way to the airport...plus when the zipper on my boots broke, he insisted on fixing them! If you want a warm, friendly, safe, convenient place to stay- don't even hesistate!

Liked: I liked almost everything, it was one of the best experiences with hostel i ever had! the staff (hostel owner) was great and friendly and helpful. he welcomed us (me and my friends with whom i stayed in the hostel) and gave us a map where he marked all of the most important and interesting places to go in budapest and gave us warnings about transport and so on... you can really rely on him, to give you some advises and information you need to know about Budapest. i enjoyed my stay in this hostel. also its on the great place walkable (max 30min) to everywhere in the centre. the facilities where also good - we had our own bathroom and kitchen.

Liked: When we arived we were exited because we hade a "flat" with a lot of space for our family with 3 children. The place was nicly coloured, cousy and we have everything that we need. Mister Fabian was very nice and willing to help if we needed. The Happy flat is located on a good place and we werw able to see a lot of things in just 2 days. Its a very good place for good value. We will definatly recomended Happy flat to our frands and families.

Liked: Everything. We booked a private room which turned out to be an entire apartment fully equipped with laundry, kitchen, 2 showers and upstairs bedroom and security coded main door. There were protests in Budapest and Csaba texted us to let us know this and showed genuine care for us before we'd even arrived. He made us feel like old friends from the moment we got there. On arrival he sat with us and talked us through the entire map of Budapest and the hotspots for cafés, bars and sights which helped us make the most of our 2 nights here. After 7 weeks on the road this has been the absolute highlight of our accomodation so far. Do yourself a favour and stay here.

Liked: Best hostel i have stayed in over the last 3 months! Owners are so friendly and helpful and it is more of a shared apartment than a traditional hostel.

Liked: Location was excellent. Facillities were good; own kitchen and bathroom and eating area.

Disliked: no communual areas, but as a couple we were not looking for that. it might not work if your wanting to meet other travellers.

Liked: Fantastic location, very welcoming host, situated on a quiet courtyard.

Disliked: Technically our room was not an ensuite as advertised, but instead we had a private toilet and shower elsewhere in the shared apartment.

Liked: Brilliant. We booked a triple private ensuite and were given an entre flat which really made our stay in Budapest!. Kitchen, eating area, lounge, bedroom and 2 bathrooms. Fantastic and brilliant value! Csaba was so helpful. Really recommended

Liked: This accommodation was by far the best we have stayed in yet. We are travelling as a couple and prefer staying in private accommodation, the value for money of this place was outstanding. The location was perfect right in the centre, nothing too far away we walked everywhere we needed to go. Our apartment was a fully equipped one bedroom, private bathroom with washing machine. We saved a lot of money by being able to cook our own meals etc. Csaba was extremely helpful on arrival (and throughout our stay) providing maps, brochures & discounts at restaurants etc. He also went out of his way to help us purchase a new camera and saved us a significant amount of money. Thanks again! Would recommend this place to anyone!

Liked: The rooms are very big, if you are travelling as a group this would be the absoluetly perfect hostel. Not only that it was fully equipped with everything you could want and more.

Liked: Very Clean, had an additional room for our suitcases, nice kitchen and very good location!

Disliked: We didn't have a waste bin in our room or bath room, just in the toilet. Our bathroom and our neighbour's bathroom was in the same room, seperated by a thin wall, so we could hear each other while showering, etc.!
