Liked: Amazing!!!The flat is clean,warm,nice..you feel like at home!!!From the flat you can reach whatever you want..but the real surprise is the owner that will follow you with advices,explanations and jokes..!!!

Liked: Csaba, the owner, gave us a warm welcome! He gave us a briefing on the city and was very helpful and friendly. The kitchen is well-equipped. The wifi is very fast and can be used in the room-- a definite plus!

Disliked: The bed sheets looked a bit dirty.

Liked: Excellent location in centre of town and very practical to get to. There's a great butcher next door and a brilliant bakery around the corner. We recommend trying the dios makos from the bakery and liver sausage from the butcher! Also the owner was very helpful and attentive.

Disliked: Lack of wall insulation between flats (i.e. we could hear people in the next room). This needs to be sorted, but apart from that it was good and we'd stay here again. (Also the owner didn't hear us ring the bell several times when we arrived, but fortunately someone else from the building let us in. Also a sign outside the hostel would be good, as there isn't one at the moment, so we didn't know where we were going.)

Liked: Large furnished apartment with equipped kitchen. We have received many information materials, maps and answers on all our questions.

Disliked: The apartment we have been in was situated in a ground floor.

Liked: The location was great. It was walking distance to everything. It was very convenient for us to pass in between places if we forgot something or want to pick up our jackets for the night. Csaba the flat owner was very helpful and very nice. He gave us a lot of information and gave us good hints of where to go.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike.

Liked: Very comfy, clean, safe place; great location both close to the city center and the train station; the owner is very nice and easy-going and will give you some quite useful hints. The best part was the spacious and fully equipped shared living room + kitchen, which we basically had to ourselves as the other guests barely used it. Facilities are in good condition, with two minor complaints: The shower's temperature is a bit difficult to regulate, and the electrical oven didn't work, it produced noise, but no heat ;-) (we didn't really need the oven, though).

Disliked: Since it's more like an apartment adapted to accommodate backpackers rather than a proper hostel - thus, rather small - there aren't many other guests around, so it may not be ideal if you are looking for company. On the other hand, if you like it quiet at night, this is the place to be.

Liked: The location was fantastic and the owner Csaba was very friendly and helpful!

Disliked: Maybe not so good for older guests due to the lay out of the flat with all the beds being up a wooden staircase...

Liked: Upon arrival Csaba greeted us and made sure to equip up with various maps and tourist supplies to ensure we made the most of our trip. His recommendations were all very good (whether it be restaurants, nightlife or tourist attractions). He also helps you book certain tours or airport transfer if you need it and always remembers to follow through with his promises (such as bringing you certain apartment supplies or bookings). We were given a much larger apartment than we had expected. This was very pleasant since it gave my group of four plenty of space to relax and lounge in the living room. We also had a fully furnished kitchen which allowed us to cook our own breakfasts. WiFi accessible in the flat was a plus! The flats are part of a larger apartment complex which may seem a little odd at first but does not provide any problems.

Disliked: Shower turned cold if everybody wanted to shower right after each other, only posed a problem once though.

Liked: We stayed in Happy Flat in April of 2011 for 4 days and just loved it. It's located in the city center so everything (bars, restaurants, shops, tourist attractions, ..) is very close. Hostel itself is a big building, very safe (code for the front door, keys for the flat, ..) and spacious. It's old, but renovated, so you feel like at home. The owner (Csaba) welcomed us in a very friendly way - he helped us find a parking space, took our bags to the flat, showed us around the city and pointed out places to see and things to do. Really a nice guy, who makes sure, your stay in Budapest is excellent. People in hostel itself were very friendly & open and we had no problem sleeping (very quiet). I've stayed in a lot of hostels, all over the world, and haven't experienced the kind of friendliness and freedom you get in Happy Flat, so I would really recommend it !

Disliked: There were no dislikes regarding our stay at Happy Flat. We wanted to see Budapest and Happy Flat offered us a nice accommodation in the heart of the city.

Liked: We visited HappyFlat with a group of 8 guys. We had our own floor with 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms and a kitchen with a nice lounge area! It was fabulous! Csaba (the owner) is very nice, friendly and very helpfull! He also arranged our pickup and transfer from and to the airport. We had an excellence weekend!

Liked: We love it!!! Stayed there with my best friend and we had an absolute ball!!! Best location in Budapest, csaba the manager is the most helpful person ever! We wanted a night in and we messaged him and he came running over with a basket full of DVDs! The service was better than a 5 star hotel! The flat was amazing!! He had a 2 storey flat to ourselves!!! Have already recommended to my cousin and every time I come back to Budapest which is several times a year I will come back to happy flat!!!!

Disliked: Nothing it was fab!

Liked: The Happy Flat is awesome. It is like a little apartment complex and includes towels, coffee, hair dryers, and even a washing machine. The rent is very cheap for how much is provided. Csaba (the owner) is sooo helpful and accommodating! He helped our group of 15 with everything, from transportation to recommending awesome places to go and see. Definitely stay here if you want to go to Budapest!

Liked: Great place overall. Very spacious and comfortable, had a nice small kitchen and tvs and even a speaker system for use. Very safe and secure. Csaba the landlord was one of the nicest i've come across in my travels. He gave great recommendations, organized shuttle transportation, and was available whenever we had a question or needed help.

Liked: The owner Csaba is easily the best host of all the places I have ever been to - very welcoming, punctual, resourceful and super helpful. The flat could not have been more central, the best location in Budapest, 5 minutes walk to everything of interest - the city market hall, the Chain Bridge, the walk along the river. The flat was warm and cosy, and very quiet despite the central location. There was a huge TV. Csaba told us everything we needed to know about Budapest and we followed his advice about the places we should visit which is how we discovered the best ever night club/cafe. I strongly recommend Happy Flat and its host - thank you Csaba!
