Liked: Room was exactly a small fkat with everything tarveller may need, the staff was friendly and location was in main walking-street so it was perfesct. Safety was 1 class.

Liked: Everything about our flat was amazing! The location was great - central but tucked away so it wasn't noisy. Our flat had an alarm system so we always felt safe and secure. Csaba was extremely helpful and attentive - can highly recommend HappyFlat!!!

Liked: Excellent and very friendly staff who were happy to do anything for their guests. The apartment was clean when we arrived and kept clean all the time. The Staff were very helpful and showed us lots of great places to go and gave us discounted entry to numerous attractions. The hostel was only a 10 minute walk from the Castle and close to clubs, casinos and lots of restaurants. The free laundry service was very good and the WIFI was good also. The hostel was very secure so you and your belongings felt safe. The apartments were very well equipped with cutlery, crockery and utensils so cooking was easily possible. During parts of the day the hostel was a suntrap so you could sunbathe outside your apartment door . The communal lounge area was a great place to relax and meet new people. Overall an excellent hostel in a superb location with phenomenal staff. By far the best hostel i have stayed in.

Liked: We took the private flat for €20 a night. It was amazing. Large, two bathrooms, bedroom in the loft, full kitchen and washing machine downstairs. 1st floor, with a lift so no stairs if you don't want. Excellent location, right smack in the middle but on a quiet street inside a secure but beautifully typically old European building. Close to all the beautiful pedestrian streets, markets, and a short stroll across the White Bridge to Buda and the castle district. Loved it so much we stayed an extra day. Csaba, the owner was so helpful, pointing out the various attractions, and a few tips for restaurants and bars that we would never have found on our own. Provided us with maps and spent 30 mins with us (bought us a coffee) telling us where to go and circling places on the maps for us. Would recommend!!!

Liked: Wow! This was not what we expected at all. It was literally like our own little flat. The accommodation isn't 'advertised' like other hotels/hostels as it's within a block that locals live. Having said that it wasn't hard to find. The owner, Csaba, was extremely helpful and friendly. He showed us personally to our room and ensured we were happy with our room/flat. We had a kitchen complete with a washing machine (ideal for backpackers), dining area, living area and en-suite downstairs. Upstairs there was a double bedroom, study and further bathroom. Csaba, took the time to sit with us and mark tourist attractions, bars, clubs, restaurants etc. that he would recommend on our map. He also gave us lots of tourist information leaflets and told us we could purchase Hop On Hop Off bus tour tickets and spa tickets from him (which we did) . He gave us a 10% off voucher for a restaurant round the corner from the flat and his gift to us was 2 vouchers for a free drink at the same restaurant (extremely kind!) The dinner was amazing! Location was excellent and property was clean and safe. We would thoroughly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Budapest. Thank you Csaba.

Liked: We had a great stay at happy flat. Csaba is a very friendly and helpful person. He gave us a lot of great hints (sightseeing, bars, restaurants....). The hostel is situated right in the center of Budapest, we did not need public transfer. We would highly recommend this hostel to everybody who likes to have a great stay in Budapest.

Liked: Csaba, who is the owner, is extremely helpful and always tries to lend a hand when needed. The flat was super clean and we had a kitchen, washroom with a washing machine, a sitting area, comfy beds, towels, a computer, etc. Everything was extremely thought out including a reuseable grocery bag near the door for when we had to go shopping! Best hostel I've stayed at during my trip so far and when I return to Budapest, I will definitely stay at happyflat once again!

Liked: The description says hostel, but what you really get is your own apartment. You'll have linens and towels provided, your own kitchen with all utensils and cooking implements included (even coffee and tea and electric kettle), a washing machine (no dryer) free of charge, and free wi-fi. It would be perfect for a stay of several days, though also good for shorter ones -- you'll just feel like you're not using all the amenities available to you! Csaba, the host, as everyone's said, is excellent and extremely helpful. Would totally recommend.

Disliked: No dryer, but hey, how many hostels give you free use of a washing machine anyway? Absolutely no other complaints.

Liked: Good location, friendly and helpful owner/staff. We got a small apartment, had everything you needed in it. A sound choice for anyone.

Disliked: Probably not a big party hostel, if that's what you are after.

Liked: Very good location. Csaba was very helpful with tips on where to go and espech on picking up from the train station.

Liked: We booked a private room. And we got a whole apartment to ourselves! It had a downstairs floor with a living room area, kitchen, bathroom, and washing machine (free use and detergent). Then it had a big loft above with beds and a TV. The staff was very friendly, told us lots of things to do (plus discounts), and really seemed to love Budapest.

Disliked: We are traveling without phone or computer. We didn't know that we needed to email him with our arrival time, so we got there and nobody was there. Luckily, there was somebody in a different part of the hostel who emailed him, and he came not long after. So make sure you email! Also, there was free wifi but no computer to use if you don't have your own.

Liked: Stop looking, Happy Flat is terrific value, right in the centre of town however in a very quiet street and walking distance to 2 metro lines and buses. We really enjoyed all the space and the kitchen just for ourselves. The manager is Csaba and will really look after you. Many thanks Csaba for a terrific stay in Budapest. We will definitely recommend your flats to others.

Liked: The location was great, and our rooms were very cosy and comfortable. The common area was a wonderful place to relax after a long day of walking, and the toilet facilities were new and great. The best part about staying at happyflat was Csaba, who was not only extremely welcoming and friendly, but gave us great notes on the places to go in Budapest. He was patient and helpful and he made our stay there very enjoyable. It was a pleasure meeting someone so enthusiastic and passionate about his city like Csaba. We loved his company and the great stories he told and all his recommendations turned out to be extremely reliable. Thank you, Csaba, for making our experience in Budapest one that we'll never forget! and send our love to your cutest dog Arsen. Love, Melissa, Gladys and Tisiana.

Liked: Csaba was very friendly and gave us good advice. The restaurant that he recommended was good and the price was reasonable. He was so kind to let us check out late.

Disliked: We were given another flat which was 2 metro stations away from the original location. It seemed we were the only occupant there and a bit scary.
