Liked: Perfectly nice, secure apartment relatively close to a main train station

Disliked: At the last minute we were moved to a separate apartment a few minutes walk from the hostel, which while it meant we had a private flat also meant that we were unable to use any of the facilities or meet anyone.

Liked: Very clean and the man at the desk was very helpful. Free map was very useful and leaflets with ideas of things to do and ways to meet other travellers. The kitchen was good, even had an oven. The bedroom was a good size and the showers were new. Fan in the room was good seeing as it was too noisy to leave the window open.

Disliked: Was good.

Liked: the self-catering facilities were really good! the place was very clean and andie the receptionist was very very helpful and welcoming!-the fans that were provided in each room!!! extremely necessary yet often not provided by other hostels especially in the summer when temperatures went up to 39 deg celsius!-the showers were incredible!!-the location was really great, near the oktogon station which is one of the main metro stops of the city centre! many supermarkets and money changers close by!-by far the BEST hostel and the most satisfactory in all my travels!

Liked: Really good hostel for people who want to sleep and go. Has a lift which is nice for tired feet and heavy bags.

Disliked: Small kitchen for a large number of people.

Liked: - as the friends hostel has been full we were replace to oringo hostel - the rating is on this hostel- great location, next to danube and 15 min to city center- historical building, funny coloured rooms, clean and confortable

Liked: Very cheap. Its a nice and small hostel. Not too sure how it would be if it were full. The showers need a bit more privacy though.

Liked: This hostel is about a 30- 35 minute walk to the Danube, but is right beside Ferenc Liszt ter which has lots of cafes/bars and is ideal for eating or drinking any day of the week.

Liked: I liked the location, building itself looks old, but safe. Room "Shark" was really nice and clean. Staff was very friendly. I would recommend this one to young people rather than to families with children.

Liked: the whole hostel was spotlessly clean and the location was great. the entrance to the hostel is a bit shabby, but that's to the whole building not the hostel itself

Liked: Nice living/kitchen, large bedrooms. Especially recommandable to small groups (4-12 people).

Liked: Nice place with a common area/kitchen. Note that there is no reception so the staff isn't always there. When you arrive you have to call them (the number is on the door) and they'll let you in and give you keys and stuff.

Liked: MM we did not stay in the friends hostel.... the host guy said to us that he was remodelating Friends Hostel so he sent us to another hostel... it was cool...we felt really like homee :)
