Liked: Absolutely nothing

Disliked: The dirtyness, the VERY heavy sounded AC-device (had to sleep with airplugs), the cochroach in the toilet, the dirtyness of the toilet, the bad smelling linen, the bugs that ate us during the night, so we were full of marks in the morning, the grease dealers in the building. All the hostels in the building Chung King mansion are very greasy and poorly managed. Dirty. Do please choose another place to stay. We are not picky, but this was just disgusting. Some authorities should put the building out of business.

Liked: Not much really. Was just a bed, toilet and a shower. Thats it.

Disliked: Very suspect hostel. staff arent friendly at all!! Get hasseled massively when you try to get to hostel because its so hard to find. Definitely wouldnt recommend. They should take the 'Luxury' out of the name!!! Its terrible.

Liked: The people in charge there is very nice and helpful. Most importantly, it is a very good location because there is a MTR station just in front of this building! I like it very much!

Liked: the staff are friendly and accommodating, the place is clean, and quiet. you get value for money. the ads in the internet and the comments of other travelers are true. the place is safe. once we're inside the room, we feel very secure. the staff made our stay comfortable. the room seems like home with the efficient space built for Asians. We felt like a tourist just like everybody else billeted in the hostel.

Disliked: no amenities like soap, tissue. we were given only once during the 7-day stay. the place is narrow but there's ample room under the bed to put our stuff.

Liked: their room..which i didnt expect how clean it is even although its hostel only..should i say..its small but nice!

Disliked: not totally in this property but the people who's waiting outside for the traveler. im lil scared. but good thing u guys informed me not trust those people.

Liked: Very clean, looked recently renovated. Very handy location near the metro. As a female travelling alone, I felt safe enough. Free wifi in room.

Disliked: There was no sign for the hostel at the door of the lift. Also one reception serves six or seven hostels which was confusing. It looked like I was actually staying in the Lucky Hostel.

Liked: Near the MTR station, cheap food downstairs, clean rooms and basic stuff provided (hot shower, tv, airconditioning, towels). Rooms are small but that's not such a big deal.

Disliked: Rough, rude people downstairs (they're not from the hostel staff though). The area appears dodgy (though it's very safe).

Liked: good central location.

Disliked: One of their staff was behaving in a very unprofessional manner and tried to throw me out of my room, as he had misunderstood that I was staying for two nights and he continued to argue with me until I showed him my receipt.

Liked: cold air conditioning

Disliked: we booked at luxury but on the first night, they moved us to tom's hostel. on the succeeding stay, we were moved to Hong Kong hostel even though we booked at luxury but hong kong hostel was better with friendlier staff. The Indian staff was friendly but the African American staff was rude.

Liked: If you have to stay in Tsim Sha Tsui for Chinese visa or shopping or Indian food, there's nothing wrong with Chungking Mansion, or Mirador, or the like. Freaky as they might seem, they feel safe and fun. There are late night Middle Eastern eateries and no weirdness, expect visual.All hostels on 15th floor Block C function via one reception manned by barefoot but competent African youths. I suspect it doesn't matter which marquee you book with: Marco Polo, or Garden, or Luxury European... I stayed in a single ensuite room. It was adequate and not smelly. It was slightly larger than the bed, air-con was kinda noisy, bed linen was washed old, total Kowlooon Walled City outside the window.

Disliked: It's a modest kind of accommodation, so you can't ask for much. Less noisy air conditioning would be dandy.

Liked: Completely unique hostelling experience and a great location.

Disliked: I hate that the pictures on hostelbookers are HUGELY INNACCURATE. For the price we pais the room should have been nicer. Also, there is only one powerpoint in the room. Oh, and the internet came in and out. I would be so much more upbeat about this place if the pictures reflected rooms.

Liked: The hostel itself and the room wasn't to bad but the building(chong king mansion - it houses thousands of hostels alike) first floor is filled with guys trying to sell stuff to you as walk through to get to the elevator. Not very safe for a single female traveler. The single ensuite room i stayed in had terrible food smell coming in, had to keep the window closed all the time, but it still smelled.

Disliked: seung hyun left no negative feedback.

Liked: The services are good and the staff are friendly...systematic (full equipments) and clean (although the room is small)..good to stay as the price is affordable and security is reliable as well... is very convenient to go to everywhere in hong kong...as the MRT station is just around the corner...good choice to stay there!!!
