Liked: The room was quite small, seemed clean though.

Disliked: The room was very cold, and extra blankets did not help at all, though I didn't aks any help with the radiator. I didn't have any other problems, however, I heard some German customer complaining that his toilet sink had been stuck for 3 days, and no one bothered to fix it even he had asked it for three times. Also he said that some brown liquid was dropping into his bath room floor.. I choose this budget accommodation, cause I been before in YMCA Taipei, and I thought this would be the same. The level of the YWCA Hong kong was quite different from YMCA Taipei. YMCA Taipei has excellent quality compered to this one. You can still stay here, didn't see any roaches...

Liked: I had a single room with several windows, a large, clean bathroom and an air conditioner. Lots of storage space, TV and phone. There was a big fridge in the room too. Check-in and check-out were faultless. The location was ok; the area was quiet but fairly easy to get around (around 10 minutes walk to YauMaTei, Mong Kok and Mong Kok East metro stations, direct bus to Hung Hom and Star Ferry at TST). There's a cafe/bar attached, although I didn't go in. Lots of small shops in the area for breakfast and snacks. I felt safe and the price was fair.

Disliked: The mattress was a little old and not as comfortable as I'd hoped. Wi-fi is only available in the lobby (no internet in the rooms).

Liked: Nice spacious room, very clean and looked rather like a hotel in terms of the lobby/entrance. Not too bad a price and the staff were friendly on the main desk. Was relatively quiet.

Disliked: It isn't too far away from the main part of Kowloon but it is a walk/tube away if you were spending most of the time downtown/on Hong Kong Island. The price is good but it would be even better if it was a little cheaper as it is slightly further away than some of the other accommodation on offer. Is much nicer than the Chungking mansions however.

Liked: Very clean and good location for Kowloon side, easy to get to tube for HK Island. Staff were friendly, but found the price of using the internet quite expensive.

Liked: The staff were particularly helpful. As a visitor to Hong Kong for the first time, it was reassuring that the hostel gave complimentary maps / cards in chinese and english, making navigation around kowloon far easier! The room was basic, very clean with all amenities provided, including towells, toothbrushes, soap etc.
