Liked: The staff was REALLY friendly and helpful!!! I came in at 2am with a big bag and at first they were going to put me in one room with 2 twin beds (they were going to just join them together), but then my bag wouldn't fit in the room so they moved me to a room with more space and a big bed! The location is reallllyyy good for the tourist spots...the ladies market and night market is like 2 mins away. The bathroom is tiny so I would suggest if you take an ensuite room...everyone use the toilet first and then let the showering begin because the toilet seat WILL get wet! There was a tv in the room but i didn't use it so i'm not sure how well it works and stuff. The hostel provided sheets but I never got any towels. They did keep my luggage for me though...even after I had checked out! And the free wi-fi...awesome!

Disliked: - Kind of expensive for the size of the room - Pretty clear directions but a bit harder to fin in the night. The entrance in the night is OPPOSITE the 7-eleven - hot water stopped after 10 mins :(

Liked: Hotel location was good since it was near the night market, mrt and bus station, food shops, etc..They had a Filipina staff who really helped us all throughout our stay, the owner was also accommodating.

Disliked: The rooms were not really spacious but all in all twas just fine. Some of the people in the neighborhood were not really accommodating at all.

Liked: I liked the service of its staff. Very accessible and friendly, easy to communicate with, and very accommodating when it comes to some concerns or assistance.

Disliked: The only small thing i disliked about this property is its atmosphere. Some of the rooms are a little old, with no windows. Though the atmosphere not the best, but still very ok in my opinion. Its good service makes up for it.

Liked: excellent location at the foot of ladies street and the MTR. friendly receptionist, great help.

Disliked: the smelly tofu stand just outside the main door on the street.

Disliked: staff at check in did not know what they were doing, also did not help with any quieries,long time waiting for lifts, minimal facilities.

Liked: To be honest nothing

Disliked: The staff at the desk did not know answers to the most simple of questions, and did not seem to know what they were doing.No facilities except one computer, no kitchen, only bedroom and thats it. Lift shared with lots of residents of flats and often had to wait for long time

Liked: Its good place for staying but no social aspects can be connected to this place...

Disliked: No common room and place was a bit shabby and difficult to find as Mong Kok area or Argyle street is so big...

Liked: Location is great for all the shopping and transport access. Lady at the reception very friendly and nice.

Disliked: Room had a funny smell in it. Tv did not work. When using toilet you had to sit at a 45 degree angle cause you could not fit your legs straight (and i am only 5.5". Shower was leaking all the time and sound isolation was very poor.This is not a hostel if you want to sleep well at night.

Liked: The hostel was quiet and extremely near to the MTR and shopping areas like Ladies market and Langham Place. There's food all around and there is really everything there. the lady at the hostel is also extremely helpful when it comes to directions and all. Wifi is readily accessible and air con is also good, except that the one in my room leaks, which I am okay with. Toilet's a tad puny and there is a slight musty smell, but the room is comfortable and clean. Love it.

Liked: Location was fantastic, step outside and you are right in the middle of the Kowloon, on the edge of some great markets and surrounded by plenty of places to eat. Plus with an MTR station and bus stops right outside, getting around was easy. Rooms were small, but clean and air conditioned, we only used the room to sleep and shower in so was perfect for us.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Tiny rooms, barely room to stand up. However, rooms have all the necessities including TV, air con, kettle, hot water, shower, toilet and WIFI access. Also very clean.

Disliked: Not easy to find initially, very very small, but perfectly formed

Liked: The location was great for shopping at the Ladies Market.

Disliked: Late check-in (1 pm) gave us problems as we arrived at 10 am and wanted to freshen up after our flight.

Liked: This hostel is nicer than those you'll find at Chunking Mansions -- the rooms are cleaner and the building is less crowded, and there are no touts outside! Hostel staff is great, and the location (right out of Mong Kok station, right across from the Ladies' Market) is very convenient. This was the second time I've stayed there!

Disliked: There hasn't seemed to be many young travelers while I've stayed there; families from Asian countries seemed to be most at the hostel instead. The walls can be thin, so I often heard babies crying.

Liked: The rating seems low but that is more a refection on the price and nature of accommodation available in Hong Kong. It is a room in a massive apartment block and offers no social interaction with other travellers. If you are primarily looking for something cheap and are prepared to live in a shoe box (just room for me and my bags) then this is the place for you. The staff were friendly, location great, free wi-fi, and the room is clean and safe. The apartment block is somewhat dilapidated but it has a lot of character and you feel as though you are a part of local Hong kong life.

Liked: For the price, this place is amazing. Great location, free unlimited wifi, clean, strong aircon, friendly helpful staff, quiet. Sure, the room was extremely small, just big enough to fit my suitcase and a single bed, but for the price I wasn't expecting more. Thank you very much City Plus hostel!
