Liked: I've stayed in the Chungking Mansions probably 10+ times. This place is quite clean but not THE cleanest I've ever seen. All in all I would recommend this place to other travelers although we didn't actually get put in the Singhs gueshouse... so I can say whether or not you would have the same experience.

Disliked: If you book it on this website you end up paying about double that what you'd pay if you just go there... Also they may or may not put you in the same hostel as these reviews... so there's no saying whether your room will be as good.

Liked: I love the place, though the majority of guests comes from mid-east , and india. BUT the traffic is very convienent, and the downtownnshopping markets are almopstveverywhere. If ubjust sleep for might rest, it's worthwhile,

Disliked: The elevator stops in every floor.Sometimes too slow.

Disliked: no comun space, no atmosphere, very smalll bathroom... it is not a hostel... it is a chung king mansion house...

Liked: The location is definitely really convenient. Ahmed, a guy working there, has also been quite helpful and considerate. Anyways, all the staff was friendly and nice when you try to communicate !

Disliked: Nothing I really disliked... Except it is a bit tricky to find when you get there on the first time ! But Singh GH staff/management send emails to help newcomers to deal with the Hong Kong Chonkung mansions mess :)

Liked: We liked the frig, big towels and air conditioner

Disliked: The very small room, the noise (couldn't sleep well), the fan had only one speed.

Liked: The staff is fantastic. So helpful and kind. They are wonderful people. While the area of the city that this property is in is very convenient, the actual LOCATION, in the Chung King Mansion, is not nice at all.

Disliked: I do not like the Chung King Mansion. It is very unsettling to have people try to sell you things incessantly (knock-off electronics, knock-off watches, tailors) and the building itself is run-down and not very nice. As well, there is always a long wait for the elevators, and people are a bit rowdy while waiting. Also, in the common areas of this hostel, it can be very smelly and uncomfortable at times because it has no air conditioning, you can smell people smoking and cooking food that has strong smells.

Liked: Many room have already renovated and clean.

Disliked: the air condition should be rather near the floor for dormitory room, because who is sleeping in upper bed will getting cold even though wearing blanket.

Liked: The staff over there was very helpful. Clean rooms , free laundry and wifi. good and very reasonable price. will definitely reccomend to others and will stay again when am next here!! :)

Liked: The place was neat and tidy - well maintained. The atmosphere was pleasant and the gadgets and the facilities around were really good. I had never in my life thought I would be getting so many things i the bargain. The boss was very friendly - polite and courteous and has maintained good discipline in the staff so no compromise in services and facilities

Disliked: there was nothing to dislike - it was value for money

Liked: The staff there is very nice & helpful. The room was clean and they even provide Wi-Fi facility. Definitely safe as I witnessed lots CCTV cameras (didn't expected). At this low cost, it was worth every penny.

Disliked: Lots of people at ground floor and seems bit scary but no worries, they are harmless and stay away from them.

Liked: The room, although small, was very clean. It is very well situated, near MTR (metro)

Disliked: The stairwell was FILTHY. Chewed tobacco spit covering walls. The bed rooms seem like jail cells, and there is no common area. Definately not a place to meet other travelers. It was clean and comfortable however. Good if you're just planning to sleep and shower and spend all your time out in the city.
