Liked: i booked this place but i didnt get room i called to the hostel and the guy sad they do not have my reservation. he abused me he spoke very badly with me he used very bad words.which i cant write here. i emailed to hostel bookers about it but no body replied me yet. and i ask for my deposit back. but no answer yet.

Liked: Location is only highlight.

Disliked: Elevators are threatfull. Sometimes you should wait for 10 m inutes in very strange environment to get an elevator. Rooms are small. It is visible that you don't have standards as Hihostels have. Such hostel couldn't be Hihostel. But we needed only overnight so we have survived in extremelly small rooms.

Liked: Near public transportation terminals (MTR, ferry), along major bus route, shopping centers, restaurants. Room cleanliness is okay, although not the same at the way in.

Disliked: At the same price, the room could have been okay just for two, not four. We were accommodated in a different hostel (Carlton Hostel) from what we booked (New Hong Kong Hostel).

Liked: The only reason for staying in the Chungking Mansions is the price and the location. However, it might well be worth spending some more money or checking out the Mirador Mansions next door.

Liked: Just the location.

Disliked: Everything from the torn towels to the receptionist with bad attitude, to the small rooms, to the dirty water in the bowl, to the old building that is almost to crumble, to the small elevator that smells, even the bed sheets and towels have stains on it. People can also come and go without you knowing it.

Liked: The room was perfect. Everything what we need was inside. We've got a shower, toillet, cooler, airco, tv, phone, wifi (free) , travelpowersupplyer. The room was clean and every day they came to check and clean.

Disliked: It's a small shoppingcenter to walk true the lift. Everybody asks for fake rolex with good quality. But if you ignore them it's okay and it happend everywhere in Hong Kong.

Liked: The building isn't very nice but it is livable. Staying here is really VALUE FOR THE MONEY for vacationers or back packers. The staffs are VERY friendly and helpful.

Liked: Very criminal environment, no girl should live there on her own (or only with a gun).... Extremly small rooms, the beds were too small for two people and the staff was so loud at night, that we couldn't sleep... They even tried to fool us!! (Told us, that the hostel got more expensive and that we now had to pay more)... NEVER AGAIN!!!!

Liked: It is a safe place for your belongings, room is clean and new renovated but very small without windows. The stuff is very helpful and friendly. The building is very old, crowded and without any emergency exits. You love it or hate it!
