Liked: I would highly recommend the City Guesthouse in Tsim Sha Tsui to anyone who just arrived in Hong Kong and who wants to have a place to stay, where they can have the basic necessities for a decent price and in the heart of the city.The rooms are small, just enough to fit a bed and a small desk, but they also have a private bathroom with shower. There is a shared hall space with a refrigerator and a water heater. There is also two shared computers in this space which are connected to the internet. The rooms all have Wi-Fi access, although the signal tends to fluctuate a lot; but it’s enough to check emails and stay in touch. I found that my room was relatively quiet considering the location, this is due to the fact that it was facing the inner courtyard within this huge Chungking Mansion complex (It did have a window). I found that the elevator tended to be either too slow or packed with people so I preferred to use the stairs, which was relatively easy since the rooms are on the 6th floor.All in all, this hostel is a good deal for the price, it is very near the MTR station and close to all the shopping and city attraction one could wish for. What makes it even better is the friendly service. The staff are great and they are accommodating. I particularly enjoyed the professional attitude of Sono, one of the staff, he was always around to provide assistance, he was very forthcoming and told me I could leave my luggage in their office for the day after I checked out.Joseph B. Liked: If you want to stay in a guesthouse with more facilities,i recommend this guesthouse because this guesthouse has free wifi and good security system,what else does a customer need with such accomodation for only a cheap price.This place(tsim sha tsui) seems like only for tourists.And it is close by the MTR and the bus stop.

Liked: very good locations close to all bus stop like airport bus metro star ferry macau ferry.room is not big.but very clean free wifi.price is not expensive.if i come back stay this guesthouse

Liked: The Propert is very clean and good loaction,The room was very clean and good loaction,The staff was very help full and good speak english,i was see the many guesthouse in same building but this is the new and clean one, There are was many thing is free , internet cafee , hot and cold water, loacal call from the room and etc,i was so enjoy there,The building looks little old but loactin very good, it is the near by MTR station and shpping center,if i go hongkon agian i will stay same Guesthouse.

Liked: Firstly, City Guesthouse is run by the same people as Paris and Singh Guesthouses on the same floor which was confusing when I first arrived, especially as someone came out to meet me and took my bags into Paris Guesthouse without explaining anything. The first room I was given had no window and the bed took up almost all floor space, and after one night I asked to change rooms. The next room was a little better as it had a window, but was just as small, and there were tiny ants crawling all around. The staff were friendly at first, but their cleaning was confined to changing the bed sheets and sweeping the floor. Seeing as I was planning on staying a month, I ended up cleaning my bathroom myself. They offered to do some washing for me for free, but seemed to lose my clothes for about 3 days, after which I found them scrunched up in a plastic bag with a load of other clothes. One day after about 2 weeks their washing machine broke and flooded my room when I was asleep. Everything I had with me was on the floor as there was no room to store anything anywhere else, and it all got soaked. The books I'd brought with me were ruined, and my new mobile phone drowned in the water. The staff only stopped laughing when I demanded the money back that I'd paid to stay the full month, and I moved out to another hostel in Chungking Mansions (which was dry at least) the same day. All in all, I'm sure my stay wasn't typical of this place, but really the only thing I can say is that you get what you pay for.

Liked: Good place where to stay for a honest price. I took a double room and it was small but ok, i also had a window (but ask for that otherwise you might not have it).The metro is just in front on the building, and there are restaurants and shops very very close

Liked: The staff is very friendly and helpful, there is a big bottle of nice smelling body lotion and shower cream in the room, but the guesthouse is a bit noisy; thin walls, noisy air conditioner, lift with sounds, etc. Also I only had 'fresh air' from a courtyard (of 1x2m2 which could be smelly sometimes and looked disgusting), but overall it's okay to stay for a couple of nights.

Liked: This hostel is part of the Chunking Mansions, a dirty and dark building to say the least... Staff tries to make its best but it cannot help for me the rest:you have a single room, so forget to meet new people. But you might meet little friends in your room (I mean little animals... like aunts...). Anyway you will be correctly located.I hardly find Honk Kong interesting for tourism, it is first a place to do business.... 1 or 2 days to feel the atmosphere is enough.

Liked: I have had great service from arrival they can not do enough for you. The hostel is very central and literally one minute from the metro. My room was cleaned every day and they provide fresh towel and clean sheets. Sonu is the man! :)

Liked: Great place with very helpful staff, negative side was that i missed a place to meet people and my laundry got ruined.Still though i would recommend it as the rooms are small but still nice and give value for the money, and the chungking mansion is one place to experience as well.

Liked: City Guesthouse was one of many guesthouses in Chungking Mansions, and so it was a little confusing and perplexing getting off after a long trip. However, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and the location was amazing. It was literally across the street from Tsim Sha Tsui station, so getting there and back was no trouble at all. The rooms themselves left something to be desired, but it was worth it for the experience and the price. I'm not sure I'd go there again, but it was an enjoyable stay, albeit short-lived.

Liked: My stay was too pleasant. The staff there was too friendly and they even provide free Wi-Fi, Tea, Coffee and other room amenities.It is a secure place at very economical price. Shopping centers, MTR, Airport bus are too close and easily accessable.I will definately stay there next time!!!!!!!
