Disliked: Very old and damaged rooms. Very noisy staff and noisy rooms in general.

Liked: the location is accesible but the total experience is traumatic especially the attitude of the owner soooo unfriendly and the room is soo small and dirty

Disliked: the owner of the hostel is unfriendly the experience is so sad and i dont want to go back to hongkong for any vacation

Liked: The building was safe and secure. The door to the building was password protected and there was a security guard when you enter the building. There were no long queues for the lift. The location was excellent; it was near a MTR station and a supermarket.

Disliked: The walls in my room were visually dirty, making the entire room feel dirty. The walls are also paper thin; I could hear the plumbing/water running of the room next to me. Guests are apparently allowed to smoke in their rooms and since the rooms are so close together, I could smell the smoke from my room. Pissed me off. Smokers and non-smokers are placed in the same area. There needs to be some sort of separation of the two.

Liked: Clean. My room was clean and in overall OK condition. good location meaning located directly next to Causeway Bay MTR.

Disliked: Staff speaks poor English. As long as you have no complaints, good. I had a little bit of an argument with some staff which was ended by the fact that there is a language barrier that simply couldn't be overcome and the staff leaving the room referring to her Boss who should be around later. well...

Disliked: They do not have a proper record to know the room available and the whole management only run by one man show. it seem the air cond never service and cover with dust.

Liked: Sun Kong Hostel a very good located hostel, just two steps from the subway exit. Location is great and even though the staff speak poor English, they are still kind.

Disliked: For everybody who is looking for "hostel" in Hong Kong, please do not expect much. When it comes to hostel Hong Kong has only "high priced low quality" places to offer if you compare to european hostels standards. Sung Kong so as other hostels in Hong Kong offers only tiny rooms, clened poorly everyday. Based on other places such as hostels in "Chung King Mansion" (a place everybody should stay away from), I recoommend a few days stay in Sun Kong, it offers a great location in a very nice area.

Liked: i like their location.. There are lots of stores nearby and it is accessible from the MTR station.

Disliked: The staff are not very accommodating.

Liked: the location, the sheets were fresh and clean

Disliked: The walls are grubby, the sink leaked, the common area is cluttered with toilet rolls, with a little care this place could be a great small level hostel but they know we have little choice!

Liked: the location is really handy for sight-seeing on hong kong island and great for shopping in the causeway bay area

Disliked: it wasn't exactly quiet...so take your ear plugs!

Liked: Its all about location.

Disliked: Apart from superb location, a std tiny HK hostel room and facilities. Old and torn sheets and towels but the place is clean.

Liked: The security aspect was the best part of this hostel as number code was required to access the building, as well as a normal key entry system.

Disliked: En suite room was booked but did not get it. First night was taken to another block of apartments where room was dirty, so requested to move the next day. Would not recommed this hostel to anyone.Very disappointed.

Liked: The Location is very central, I was within walking distance of everything I had to visitThe room is cleaned everyday, towel changed daily, the area is quiet and really safe.

Disliked: Single Room is really minuscule, smaller than expected.

Liked: The location is great. The water pressure as well. Internet is provided in the hotel lobby but the space is tight there. Fridge and water are available

Disliked: The first night we spent in a room in another building, the toilet flush was not working and it was noisy - make sure you stay in the main building. The only person who speaks English is really unfriendly, the rest of the personal will simply not understand you. In the lift is stated that commercial use of flats is not allowed above 2nd floor and Sun Kong is in F 5/6. The provided shower gel was moldy.

Liked: A typical budget hostel - nothing out of this world but clean and much safer than in Chunking Mansion . The location is perfect - it's just next to the subway entrance

Disliked: The corridors of the building are covered with the warnings of the Neighbours' Commmitee saying that it's illegal to open a hostel above 2nd floor 9/k is on the 5th & 6th) and the guests stay in those hostels on their own responsibility. That makes you feel uncomfortable. Other thing is that the staff doesn't speak English.

Liked: Located at the Causway bay, very close to anything including Time Square. Staff was very helpful and of couser you get internet for free!

Disliked: little small rooms but you don't live in it, but only sleep so it's no problem!

Liked: Nothing

Disliked: I arrived at the hostel to find that my reservation had been cancelled without notice. I was then charged for three nights where I spent the first night sleeping on someones sofa (not bed) in the lounge in a noisy house full of people with no privacy. The next day I was transfered to the room I had booked. I stayed there for three nights. During the third night i was woken in the middle of the night and asked for more money. The next day I paid for one more night in the room. So I actually paid one night full room rate for staying on a dirty sofa. DO NOT STAY HERE!
