Liked: The beds were very clean and the staff were unbelievably friendly and always went out of their way to assist us.

Disliked: The distance from othe parts of town.

Liked: The Guatefriend Hostel is very close to the Airport and they offered us free transfer! The family is very nice they also painted everything new in all colours, so it looked very friendly. The aerea is not very safe, but the Hostel well protected. Its good for a stay over after you come or go to the Airport. The dobblestory beds are shaking and they should be fixed better. Also 2 of the rooms we had booked where not ready, they still renovated them. Lucky enough we where less people then planed!

Disliked: Customer left no negative feedback.

Liked: The staff is very friendly. The location is excellent. Its very close to the airport so if you are flying in/out early/late they are an excellent choice. The kitchen facilites are nice (most hostels in guatemala dont have kitchens that travelers can use). The internet is fast. The restrooms were clean. The hot water was HOT (unlike other hostels where anything not cold is conisdered hot)

Disliked: Guatemala city just seems to be very expensive comapred to all the other cities in guatemala. Hostel rates are more than twice in other places. My dorm room had no ventilation/windows.

Liked: Secure and quiet little hostel in GC. Felt safe. Clean. Nice beds and rugs. Nice staff. Breakfast OK. Close to airport - very close. But about an hour by bus to the centro. Mayby a little on the expensive side for Guatamala. But a nice place so didnt mid paying that price for a 4 bed dorm room.

Disliked: Hmm, nothing. Be aware is at the airport not in the centre, i knew this so it was fine for me.

Liked: The dorms only have 4 beds and the beds are comfortable. Breakfast was included and good. The shower is hot and powerful. Good wi-fi. Friendly and helpful staff.

Disliked: No lockers in dorms

Liked: The hostel is located one minute away from the airport, which makes it perfect if you're flying in at night and need a place to stay. It's very clean in bedrooms, the lounge area and the bathroom.

Disliked: The rooms are very small. The bunk beds are horrible, didn't get a good sleep there.

Liked: Comfortable beds, delicious breakfast.

Disliked: Not very many other people were staying there the night I was there, so I didn't really meet any other travelers, which is something that I usually love about youth hostels. This really had nothing to do with the quality of Guatefriends though, it was just how the timing worked out.

Liked: The hosts are lovely and welcoming and very accommodating of all our needs. The airport pick up was very useful and the breakfast/dinner were excellent.

Disliked: Quite far away from things to do (cant walk or take local buses for safety reasons) and not the sort of place you stay to meet other travellers.

Liked: very good hostel in a very safe location near the airport. Joe and Ana made our stay very welocming. The dinners and breakfast made by Joe was amazing and delicious. The atmosphere in the hostel was very good and they made our stay worth while. We stayed 3 nights and would like to stay longer. Would def recc this hostel and when you do stay here, say the Irish, Greek & English amigos recc this hostel. The beds were so comfortable and clean with really good showering facilities.

Liked: good location less than a mile from the airport. clean, friendly, with a helpful staff and great coffee! great facilities and a good hub for tours to the surrounding areas

Liked: This hostel is really clean and having friendly atmosphere. You'll enjoy the breakfast including homemade(by the owner) bread, strawberry jam and coffee.

Liked: the two owners are wounderful, they will do anything for you. The place is safe and very clean and the breakfast is amazing. After the expanding is finished this place will be even better! GO THERE!

Liked: It felt like you were joining a family - and Joe is SUCH a good cook!

Disliked: It was a little hard to find initially (it was dark) - but with one phone call we were able to find it no problem.

Liked: Guatefriend's is a great place to stay!! They offer a free shuttle service to and from the Airport. Guatefriend's is not far from the Airport, once we landed it was within a few mins they came and picked us up...Ana and Joe are very nice and friendly and they gave us some suggestions on places to go and visit while we were in Guatemala. They also helped us to book transportation to travel to our next city. Joe is an excellent cook!! You have to stay and have supper while you're there. The rooms are clean and nice and have hot water. If you're looking for a place to stay, I highly recommend to stay at Guatefriend's. Its a friendly and family environment...We would definately stay here again!!
