Anyone lucky enough to visit the Emerald Island will find plenty to see and do. For a start, the impressive traditional settlements in the villages of Theologos and Limenaria.
In Potamia, the visitor can see the folk museum and the Byzantine churches of Saint Nikolas and Saint Dimitrios. A visit to the island’s capital is a wonderful chance to see the archaeological museum and the magnificent ancient theatre of Limenas, (which every summer holds the Cultural Festival of Filippi.)
