The Ethrion family hotel is situated on a quiet pedestrian street 150 meters above Ermoupolis harbor and 200 meters from the towns elegant main square. It is easily accessible on foot from the ferry .

The Ethrion family hotel is situated on a quiet pedestrian street 150 meters above Ermoupolis harbor and 200 meters from the town’s elegant main square. It is easily accessible on foot from the ferry.
This small family run guesthouse has 8 rooms and 4 studios which accommodate up to four (4) persons. Adjacent to the main building is a small garden with a grape trellis, where one can enjoy a drink and the view the sun rising over Delos and Myconos Islands.
The Ethrion provides free use of a computer connected to the internet, daily maid service, and warm-hearted advice. Free Wireless Wi-Fi offered. Laundry in reasonable amounts is free.
Every room is clean, modern, and comfortable with bathroom, air conditioning (and heating), cable television, and fridge. Studios have small kitchenettes for limited cooking.
All four studios are on the ground three have their own private entrance and terrace some with view.
From the spacious balconies of the first floor rooms the historic Ano Syros and Vrondado districts attract the eye, with their closely packed hillsides.
First and second floor rooms balconies and terraces also have panoramic views of the lower town, harbor, and the sea, including sight of Tinos and Mykonos Islands. Second-floor rooms are enhanced with stylish wrought iron furniture.
Besides enjoying the comfort of the Ethrion the pleasures of Herrmoupolis and Syros island are readily at hand. Museums, fine restaurants, markets, and nightlife, are only a short walk away. Swimming is possible at pebble coves north of the harbor and at sand beaches in the villages, each about 30 minutes away by taxi or bus.
Bicycle, motor bike, and car rentals are readily available. Two small museums present some of the 3000-year old archeology of Syros and 300-year old technology of what was once a major ship building town.
