Liked: Location was great, pool was awesome and reception staff really friendly and helpful

Disliked: Not many cooking facilities despite big kitchen, needed more utensils like cups to drink out of. Shower needs a head to hold it up.

Liked: the receptionist is always nice welcoming and helpful. value for money as suites are offered at low rates. very good location with only 5 minute walk to the fira city center.

Disliked: the room is sometimes too dark and creepy. the toilet does not have shower curtains and the floor gets really slippery after bath. Poor reception of wifi in rooms.

Liked: 1) very clean and the studio that we stayed in is really spacious! 2) great facilities in room: kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, cooker stove, kettle. 3) linen, towels and extra blankets provided. 4) you can sunbath at the swimming pool as beaches are quite far from the town area. 5) great location, just minutes away from Fira town and Caldera. 5 minutes to bus station. supermarket, travel store, and plenty of restaurants nearby too. 6) the studio we rent at Euro30/night which is very cheap for the facilities you received. in high season, the room price will be Euro100 though. if you'd liked to wake up to the caldera view, there are also other accommodation on the cliff, if you are willing to add a bit more $$. 7) we had to stay an extra day due to our ferry being cancelled (bad weather). when we asked dimitris (the owner), we were given our old room. lucky that its still low season. 8) the hostel can help arrange a bike/atv rent for you. but we find its better us you ask nearby bike rent shops because the price will be much cheaper that way. we rent an ATV with reverse capability (very important if you're not strong enough to lift/turn around the atv) for only Euro24 for 2 days rent. very cheap!

Disliked: 1) wifi coverage is rather limited, only at the reception area (opened from 9.30am-2pm and 5pm-9.30pm). outside this hour, need to sit right in front of the reception door, which can be very cold :( hate that there is no wifi in room whatsoever.

Liked: Nice, comfortable rooms with kitchen and ensuite. Friendly manager answered any questions we had. Quiet street 5 minutes walk from the main town and bus stop, excellent location. Highly recommended!

Liked: The size of the rooms were really good.

Disliked: The location is just off the main busy road in Fira rather than on the cliff side. I only stayed one night and moved to another place for my second night. For the same money i got an amazing room overlooking the sea in a much more modern hotel. This pension is not great value for money. The pool is also very small and not somewhere you would want to lounge around.

Liked: This studio is in a great central location and has a nice quiet atmosphere, a small pool, and internet access in the reception area. Dimitrios was extremely helpful during our stay, and went out of his way to help us find transportation to the port after we missed our ferry. This was no easy task in the middle of August in Santorini, when taxis and shuttles are already booked, and there's no room left on the bus! He did everything he could to make sure we had a wonderful stay from beginning to end.

Liked: Studio Markakis is a fantastic place to stay - close to the centre of town but off the beaten track. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this spacious room and would highly recommend this excellent property as a fun and relaxing place to stay.

Liked: My friend and I travelled to Santorini twice during our 10 days in Greece and we stayed at Markakis Studios both times. The location of the studios is excellent - right on the edge of the town, it is close to all the shops, reliable ATV hire, restaurants and is only a short walk home after a night out at the many bars Santorini has to offer! Dimitrios, the owner, was so helpful and always went out of his way to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The facilities were clean and the bedrooms spacious - air conditioning, kitchenette, linen and towels all provided and replaced by cleaners daily. I would definitely recommend Markakis Studios to anybody travelling to Santorini. The location and facilities are all worth the price.

Liked: This place was in a great location with easy access to all of Fira including the bus station. The staff was friendly and helpful, carrying my heavy bag up the many stairs. We got clean towels each day. My only complaint was that we had no hot water the first 2 days! We complained after the first day and was told it would be fixed, by morning two i was getting pretty annoyed and complained again. They were appologetic and fixed it for our last morning. THey brought us a free bottle of wine to apologize, which was thoughtful.
