Liked: very convienient to everything. walking distance to all. only negative was at checkout- they wouldn't accept VISA, required me to go into town to withdraw cash to settle account. Deposit was accepted through Visa, no problem. Perhaps you should note this on confirmation info for future reservations.

Liked: I cannot recommend Pension Sofi enough. The rooms were great, but as if that wasn't enough, the family invited all the guests to celebrate Greek Easter with them, with gorgeous food and wine, and we all enjoyed the traditional dancing. It was an unforgettable afternoon!

Liked: Of the 5 hostels/hotels we stayed at in the islands, this one was by far the most charming! Room had a beautiful view of the old castle. The staff was amazingly friendly--they greeted us with homemade wine and cheese and offered us something nearly every time we walked by the office! Great value too, and good proximity to the main town.

Liked: Beautiful spacious rooms in traditional style (cool flagstone floor, stable door, pristine whitewashed exterior); very friendy staff (arranged transfer from port, warmly welcomed and invited for drinks on arrival); very clean and with small kitchenette; private balcony with beautiful view; unbeatable location - close to harbour and beautiful stretch of coastline, and to Kastro part of town

Liked: A representative from the hostel was waiting for us at the docks in Chora when we arrived by ferry, even though we had not contacted the hostel with our arrival time. They drove us directly to the hostel and showed us some highlights of the area (closest supermarket, restaurant recommendations...) We were invited to drink tea after our arrival. Instead of keeping our baggage in a locker area, the hostel offered to keep our luggage stowed in the back of their van and drive it down to the port 45 minutes before our ferry left so we didn't have to go back to get it. Very clean, with extra blankets. Our room was equipped with a small television so we could watch Greek TV, a refrigerator, hair dryer, and array of dishes (cups, mugs, plates.) Breakfast was a piece of homemade cake-bread. Lovely place.

Liked: The owners were so lovely to us and very helpful in giving us ideas to do during our time on the island would definitely recommend this couple and their hostel as they made our stay enjoyable and relaxing.

Liked: The owners of the hostel are inviting and very warm. They were happy to meet us at our ferry and offered us drinks and were generally very hospitable. We had a wonderful view from our clean and very well equiped room

Liked: reat owners. brought food from their farm, sat around telling stories and pouring us a drink. Picked some flowers from the garden for a wedding we attended. Clean. Friendly

Liked: So friendly and helpful - felt more like staying with a Greek family than in a hotel. Free guide book and map on arrival with advice on where to go and what to see - and home-made cake! Excellent.
