Liked: Friendly family run, both Irene and Stavaros were helpful. We were picked up at the ferry, very nice.

Disliked: The kitchen randomly didn't have a fork with which to eat...

Liked: Everything! We were actually upgraded to Irene II (2) and it was a charming place. The pool was fabulous and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and the hotel is really central. You can walk pretty much everywhere. The surrounding restaurants are still very traditional which we hugely enjoyed.

Disliked: Nothing at all.

Liked: We thought we just booked a private room, but instead got a bedroom, small kitchen space and eating area, and bathroom off the kitchen. It was great having the bathroom separate from the bedroom. Irene was very accommodating and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone from backpackers to families or couples.

Liked: We booked for nights at Pension Irene on hostelbookers, received our confirmation only to arrive at Naxos on a ferry at midnight and be told that they had been overbooked and they would put us up somewhere else. Given the time of night we had little choice. We were put up at Anemos Rooms which turned out to be a better location than Pension Irene. The room was large and had a fridge and courtyard. The reason we had booked Pension Irene was that it was self catering so we asked if there was a kitchen and they gave us a small electric stove top for the room. The family who owned it where very friendly and helpful and I would stay at Anemos rooms again.

Disliked: Whilst where we ended up was good, if you want to be staying at Pension Irene make sure that is where you are going to be put.

Liked: I liked that it was private in a neighbourhood off the main busy areas. I liked the balcony and cool breeze through the room. It was close to grocery stores and had a fridge. The owner was kind enough to let us use his laptop for internet and gave us some cake his mother had made - so sweet! It was very nice Greek hospitality.

Disliked: We had reserved two separate beds, but he had given us a room with one bed to share.

Liked: The room was really big (we were lucky to have one with a third bed!) with a kitchenette and fridge. The bathroom was a good size and very clean. Air conditioner in a good condition. Really close to the central main square, 10-15 mins walk from the port. Absolutely good value for money.

Disliked: A bit hard to find it when you first arrive but the owner will for sure pick you up at the port.

Liked: The owner is super friendly. picked us up from the port and let us use his laptop for free. Is close to beach and markets.

Liked: Spacious. Clean. Inexpensive. Close to the port. The owner was very helpful and understanding. Cozy little place. Definitely recommended.

Disliked: No breakfast option. Not really a place to meet people (at least not during my stay).

Liked: I ended up staying at Irene 2 where they have a pool, it's an easy location to navigate from and it's on the outskirts of town but you can walk everywehere. It was nice having a tv, heating/air-con, my own bathroom and cooking facilities as I came from a camping ground prior to staying here (this place was a palace in comparision). The staff allowed me to change my booking on 2 occassions, so they were very flexible and they pick you up from the port & drop you off.

Disliked: Shower head doesn't have a hook to put it onto, so makes showering hard with only one free hand... and a few cobwebs to be removed.

Liked: Irene (the owner) was really friendly. Too bad it was out of season and little people on the island.

Disliked: Could have cleaned the pool a bit, but beeing off season I guess its not a priority.

Liked: Very helpful and accommodating staff - the port pickup was so convenient! Pension Irene is also at a great location near the center of town - nothing is more than 10 minutes away walking distance. The facilities are modest, but clean.

Liked: Really friendly family run with pool. Becuase we were double booked Satvros the owner put us into Irene 2.Free internet, family that ran the apartments were great and Stavros was always on hand to help you out, he also picks you up from the port. A really great place to stay and a pleasant walk home after dinner. Enjoyed our time in Naxos at Irene 2, brilliant!
