Liked: This place is so underrated. We chose it for it's nice look but were overwhelmed with it's value for money. Lambros is the best guy! So welcoming and helpful, very nice and made our stay so pleasant. The distance into town is a nice walk with an easy access path. Loved villa Matta will be back for sure

Liked: Actually stayed at the second property, Hermes Hotel, had great views of the ocean. Room was clean and very comfortable. Nick was great, will help you with anything. Place had its own cafe bar and was walking distance to the town and to the beach. Great stay for sure, and great value.

Disliked: Nothing about the property, just the island itself was a little dead, but thats what i get for coming in off season i suppose

Liked: Located walking distance from the pier, beach, restaurants and bus station it's perfectly central yet quiet too. Staff were super friendly and the room was nicely decorated and very clean. We would definitely stay here again.

Liked: Awesome service and atmosphere. Located perfectly between the village and the beach (go out during the night and swim off the hangover the next day). Friends of mine have stayed at villa mata previously and have only ever said good things. I'm happy to say that the villa Mata definitely lived up to expectation. If you're considering going to ios you need to stay with lambros at the villa mata.

Disliked: We had to leave.

Liked: Felt like I was staying with family. The place was very inviting and the staff (Poppy and Mr. Poppy) were great. They pick you up and drop you off at either the airport or the docks which is such a bonus. They are not rated the best in Santorini for nothing!

Liked: Great facilities, extremely clean (they were going to clean our room on the second day of our stay but we said it was cool), safe (there is a safe in each room). The staff have really great English and are extremely friendly. I came home drunk at 6.30am with no key and Lambros bounded out of bed in about 2.5 seconds to open my door for me. Only a ten minute walk to town (via the stairs) which was shorter than the other place we stayed. Lambros is always around for a chat and came out with us one of the nights. Great place.

Liked: Lambros is very nice and the property's "garden" is great!!

Liked: Its in an amazing location right on the beach and close to the port/ centre! The owners are extremley friendly and welcoming and did not want to leave! The hostel is was one of the nicest we have been in with a great atmosphere! Definitely recommended!!!!!!!

Liked: Everything was great about this property. It was excellent value for money. We especially liked the outdoor kitchen and bbq area where we could cook and was great to meet other fun travelers as well. The owner Lambros was really nice and made sure everything was perfect for us on our stay. If we come back to Ios we would definitely stay at the Villa Mata again or recomment anyone of our friends to stay there, best place we've stayed yet. It really felt like home here.

Liked: Had a great stay at Villa Mata. Lambrose is a wonderful host and the place has alot of charm. Close to the town beach. I bit hard to get up to town so rent or bring your own wheels and it's fine.

Disliked: Bigger towels please!

Liked: the people running the villa are very friendly and helpful, it is a shorrt walk to the port and the port beach, there is a small kitchen for everyone to use, the rooms are a good size and very clean, all rooms have a balcony with is great to chill with a beer!

Disliked: if you are wanting to party then stay in the village, the buses only run until 12 midnight and then you either get a taxi or walk home. the main beach is also a bus ride away.

Liked: Great place! Easy to get to from the port. Owner comes to get you!Georgeous!!! Close to busses to get to other areas, beaches, shopping, etc.Cool cafes and restaurants near by on the waterfront! Just beautiful!

Liked: Very cute hostel, large room but in a rather rundown neighbourhood (though it is safe). Pretty far from the city center where the nightlife is but easy to get to by bus (1euro49) or taxi (6euros).Close to the beach (not a very exciting or particularly goregeous beach although we had crappy weather when we were there so that may be why).Within walking distance to the port. There you could find internet cafés, small grocery store, restaurants, souvenir shops etc.Owner was extremely friendly, helpful and accomodating. A big thank you.
