This hostel exceeded my expectations. Great value for money! Ivan the manager needs a pay rise because he works so hard! All staff were very friendly and helpful and would literally go out of their way to do something for you. The location is brilliant, close to beach and all shops. The atmosphere of the place is fantastic and has a real homely feel to it. I would recommend this hostel.

It is very nice hostel. Good location. Nice terrace.
The only problem was some bugs bites I had during the night, but seems to be common beacuse it happend the same in other hostel in the same island. They took action as soon as I told them about it.

Very friendly hostel managers, very nice guests, mainly young crowd, very international, very good atmosphere, reliable and fast WLAN, very fair price. Definetely a good recommendation for low budget travelers.

The hostel is lovely and has a fantastic location. The people I met there were enormous fun, but best of all was the Staff. Ivan, who runs the hostel, is simply amazing. When my friends and I got stranded he did not miss a beat, he just opened his book, moved people around and made sure we had a place to stay. I cannot recommend this hostel enough!

The atmosphere was great. I was planning on leaving to go to another city, but was having such a great time at Rethymno that I chose to stay an extra night. Very nice people, staff, and facilities.

Hostel is a very good price, excellent location with good facilities, clean showers and toilets. Cheap bar and helpful staff. I would recommend this hostel

The manager of the hostel is fantastic -went out of his way to ensure you were comfortable & happy. Great locality and many of the guests stay long term -this makes for a real family atmosphere. However, like in most places I have stayed in Greece -their plumbing system (toilets & showers need some attention) Sometimes the water supply just stopped. Apparently it's to do with the old pipes supplying the water from town. Ivan did his best to solve problem quickly.

Best hostel I stayed at so far. I met tons of great people, and I really didn't want to leave. Definetly coming back. The owner is very nice, and the people who work here are superb. Tons of fun, awesome atmosphere, and I loved the size of the bathrooms. Also, the hostel has real character. Loved it.

Ivan, the manager of the hostel, is super friendly and makes you feel so welcomed right from the getgo. The outdoor common space is a great place for all to mingle.

It was the best youth hostel I've ever stayed. The location in really good in the centre of the most important part of the city. The staff is so nice and helpful that if I have any chance to go to Crete I will for sure choose that hostel! :)
