Liked: the common area was very nice and the boy at the reception was really kind

Disliked: my room was on another building not where it was the common area and the hall was very dirty and ugly it looks like an empty place ando you couldnt feel safe getting in there

Liked: Air Con in the rooms was a definite advantage. Liked that there were separate mens and ladies toilets/showers. Communal area and rooftop were good for meeting people and it's very close to the main attractions.

Disliked: There is a bar next door which has some dodgy looking characters floating around at odd hours of the night.

Liked: Free breakfast at the hostel next door, as well as free internet. You save a couple euros by staying in this one but you still get to use all of the facilities of Athens Style!

Disliked: The elevator was a little scary and there were no plug ins in the bathroom, so I had to straighten my hair sitting in my bunk.

Liked: The price for a night stay is cheap. The location of this hostel is very near to the Monastiraki Station. Besides that, it is near to some of the famous attractions in Athens.

Disliked: The hostel looks very dodgy and graffiti is all over it. The place seems old like haunted for years and no one stays there.

Liked: i liked the roof top bar and how close it was to the station and main sites

Disliked: the air con didnt work properly in the rooms and it was hard to sleep at night, the gate to the hostel was often left open so anyone couldv'e walked into the building, the wifi wasnt working very well.

Liked: The reception at Athenstyle was good

Disliked: The building seemed dodgy and I was apprehensive when I entered. the room itself was fine; although a bathroom renovation is in order

Liked: Newer style rooms, free breakfast, free wi fi in the main building, good location right near monstiraki square - didn't feel unsafe walking back late at night

Disliked: Wi fi only in the main building (athenstyle hostel), breakfast at awkward time of 8-10.

Liked: computers for use, great rooftop bar with views of the acropolis, next to metro going to port and airport, breakfast

Disliked: we had to stay in a scary place next door, not in the main hostel. you have to have a key in the slot for the lights and aircon to work, so if someone leaves you have to get up

Liked: Nice staff, mostly clean rooms, awesome rooftop bar!

Disliked: Iffy wi-fi, no hooks in showers... Dropped towel in a shower full of water that wouldnt drain...

Liked: Good location (though located next to a dodgy sort of club, but as a female travelling alone I didn't feel threatened at any point) and free internet.

Disliked: Fairly expensive and the free breakfast was the worst I've seen.

Liked: It had free breakfast even though it was just okay and the location was close to the main square but if you want to sleep it was really difficult because the music from the club underneath our window was incredibly loud.

Disliked: Loudness at night. Also it did not seem like the safest place to be at after dark. The bedrooms were in a completely different area down the street than the main reception.

Liked: This property is in a good location , very close to the train station and a short walk to the Acropolis. Internet downstairs and a very clean place and a short train ride to the port to catch a ferry to the islands

Disliked: Only 2 computer which makes it a long wait for poeple but thats about all I cant dislike about this hostel

Liked: The rooftop Bar was awesome, Ed was a great host. also the view was magnificent. The location was also great to get to the acropolis on foot.

Disliked: the oddness of the separate hostels and no wifi in the room.

Liked: I liked that it was centrally located to all of the sites. I could walk 30 mins and get to everything I wanted to see and do. The staff was helpful and eager to answer questions. Love the view from the rooftop bar, and I was able to meet a few friendly people there. I traveled alone so being able to talk with some others was great. One girl and I even hung out site seeing for the next couple of days.

Disliked: My first night there, we had no electricity in the room. She offered to switch my rooms, but the guys next door were too focused on being guys (if you know what I mean) and I would rather be in the dark than dealing with that. We also ran out of toilet paper one day and had to ask for more. The lights only stay on if you keep your key in the key panel. Also, the shower was strange. It turned off every 10 seconds. You had to keep hitting the button for it to continue running. The shower head sprayed water everywhere but straight down, so water kept getting in my eyes and I couldn't see to reach for my towel. These are all inconveniences but things that you can deal with. It's a hostel after all...not a luxurious hotel.
