Liked: Great location, helpful staff, spacious rooms. The walking tour is awesome.

Disliked: Our bathroom door wouldn't close, which is kind of awkward.

Liked: Right in centre of historical area-can walk to all sites from hostel. Clean, nice hostel, good breakfasts, very helpful desk staff

Liked: I loved its location and the terraces in the rooms.

Disliked: My room's terrace door and room door (Room10) kept opening due to wind. My roommates and I woke up several times at night because it would get so cold. I suggest a thicker blanket or better locking system of the doors. Breakfast was average. Most people skipped breakfast when they saw the limited options. I also wish the wifi reached the upper floors.

Liked: Great location, clean and a brilliant terrace bar with an amazing view of the acropolis! Great facilities including a small kitchen area in the room and a balcony. A great place to stay!

Disliked: I really didn't like how small the bathrooms were for six people to share.

Liked: we stayed in one of the studio apartments. It was very clean, seemed new, had a good kitchen (complete with microwave), and even a small living room. There was AC, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The luggage storage was great and very convenient.

Disliked: The apartment was right above a bar, and so was a little loud, but nothing unbearable. The wifi also had problems the whole time we were there, however they did give me free internet time on the computers due to the down wifi.

Liked: The reception was very friendly and helped us in many ways. We reached early the first day and she offered us free breakfast.

Liked: Great location, nice breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff, activities organised for visitors

Disliked: Use of elevator is discouraged so climbing 4 flights of stairs is not fun! One of the rooms I stayed in had a leaking shower so the floor was always wet. Internet (computer use) is expensive compared to other hostels.

Liked: Great rooftop bar at Athens Backpackers. Kathy the bartender was excellent and had great drink deals. Met tons of people and had a blast. Great view of Acropolis as well.

Disliked: Nothing! All great!

Liked: it is very close to the acropolis. Staff did know there stuff (e.g. metro times), reception open 24hrs.

Disliked: I arrived off the ferry at midnight. When I got there I was on level 5 - the lift only goes to level four so you have to get out and then drag your bag up another story go outside and then you find your room. I was in a 6 bed mixed dorm with only 3 other people in it but it smelt SO BAD. I had to open a window to try and get rid of the smell but it did not go away and also meant I was freezing. They give you sheets but they also smell. Also they have plastic bed liners which is fine but the sheets are so thin so you are actually sleeping on plastic which makes a crunch everytime you move. No lockers or security of any kind. This was the same for all rooms (as confirmed by someone who switched into my room). There is mould on all the walls of the stairwell. Also at reception at night they have a tendency to go upstairs and go on facebook - if you want anything answered in a hurry you have to open and shut the front door so they think you are a new person coming in. This place was triple what I paid to stay at on the islands and so bad in comparison. If you are travelling with more then one person I recommend getting a cheap hotel.

Liked: Staff were friendly and I met other people easily. I only stayed for one night so not much time to check out the bar and stuff, but if I were returning to Greece I would definitely stay there again.

Disliked: Check-in is kind of late (2:00pm), and if you get there early the room that they have you leave your stuff in is unlocked and unguarded, so anyone can just wander in and grab whatever they want.

Liked: Great location, very friendly staff.

Disliked: Everything was pretty good, not sure about the water coming out if the drain in the bathroom though. Expected more info, brochures, travel info about travel to the islands.
