Liked: Clean, helpful staff, breakfast included. The 6 Euro walking tour was AWESOME - definitely recommend it.

Disliked: Matresses have plastic covers (underneath linens) which I'm not a big fan of. But I guess it keeps things clean.

Liked: I was placed in the Athens studios, a 5min walk down the road. Both properties have a great central location, close to metro and major attractions. Nice free breakfast.

Disliked: Bathroom poorly ventilated with poor drainage from shower (water all over the floor with some mould on the roof). Had to go to the backpackers for internet and activities.

Liked: The location was good for visiting the sites in Athens. The apartment came with a living room, kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom- good for family or friends.

Disliked: We did not need to use the kitchen or living room, so it felt like a waste. Make sure to only get the apartment if you want to cook and such, if not, then just look for a studio.

Liked: I really liked the roof bar and the common areas. It was a great location and a great view! The walking tour they offer in the morning was fantastic! Micheal was really knowledgeable, It definitely was a highlight of my trip!

Disliked: Everything was great, but I would have liked a shower that worked better and didn't get water everywhere

Liked: They put me at the Studio that it's a newer building near from Athenas backpackers. It's very well located and staff has provided good information about transportation and how to move in the city.

Disliked: It's big and very small common area.Not very easy to meet people.

Liked: We stayed in the apartment which was spacious clean & comfortable, good ac & tv great location.

Disliked: Shower leaked a lot of water onto floor which we had to mop up after each shower, no big deal clean towelsrovided daily

Liked: This hostel is cool. Especially if you love socializing. The rooftop bar goes off at night! Then there's a free pub crawl when it closes. Unfortunately we didn't get to go on the crawl as we had to get a ferry early in the morning. The rooms have aircon and our place had a balcony. There are big lockers in the room, plus more in the main area. There's a common area with lounges and a tv. Across the road from the supermarket which is nice! For us it was a good stopover to stay one night on the way to the islands, but we would have liked to stay longer.

Disliked: It's pretty loud, but not unbearable or anything.

Liked: The best part is the area, there are some dodgy areas in Athens which make you not want to be there, but Athens Backpackers is in a great location and in easy walk to the archealogical sites. Also friendly and helpful staff, air con in all rooms and a free breakfast.

Disliked: If anything just the shared bathroom wasn't super clean, but that's all hostels isn't it! Also beds were on wheels and moved a bit, but again nothing terrible.

Liked: We were surprised to get changed to a studio. Clean, spacious and great kitchen. Cute patio bar. Enjoyed the included breakfast. Really great walking tour as well.

Disliked: No lockers in our room.

Disliked: nothing too bad. the place wasn't amazing but for the price i paid i was happy and you don't spend much time at the hostel anyway

Liked: Good location and good facilities. Every beds have an electric plug so you don't have to compete with others. The room and bathroom is clean and very good security (high tech).

Disliked: No lockers, need to pay for public computer and breakfast is too simple

Liked: The staff were really helpful, really big rooms - we had a four bed dorm with 4 single beds rather than bunks and 6 lockers in total, lots of space for bags, balcony was good, great kitchen

Disliked: Only one bathroom on our floor with 4 rooms and the toilet and shower were in the same room. We did not have too many difficulties using the bathroom, but I imagine in peak time this would be a problem. We also found it odd that they had air conditioning in the rooms but there was only one controller for the whole building! So when we originally asked whether we could turn on the air con we were told that someone had taken the controller and not brought it back so we could knock on all the rooms and ask for it. Fine for one night though

Liked: good location clean rooms nice big bathroom! and lockers roof top bar and sports bars were a lots of fun! good place to meet people :)

Disliked: the WIFI was awful dropped out all the time and was very hard to get onto in the first place. free breakfast was pretty average just toast! cereal yoghurt and fruit would have been nice. whats with the mattresses having plastic covers?? makes an awful noise every time you move!
