Liked: Location, free WI-FI in the room, breakfast

Disliked: Crazy loud alarm sound at 9 am?? What was it? And early check out I didn't like as well

Liked: Stayed in a 6-bed room, in another building (apartment).Close to metro and the Acropolis. Clean room and bathroom. Very roomy, with a balcony. A kitchenette inside the room. There's also a lift.

Disliked: No locker. Luggage storage didn't seem very secured.

Liked: I loved that there were many spots to sit and relax; free wifi and a large kitchen. I also really liked that there was great music in the common areas which made for a lively atmosphere. The staff was super nice and helpful.

Disliked: The only thing I didn't like was the walking tour they recommended. It was probably the worst walking tour I have been on. I had researched some others in Athens that were substantially more money (35 vs. 5) but I now wonder if that wouldn't have been worth it to get an exciting and fun tour of Athens.

Liked: Free breakfast was convenient, location was excellent. Cheap walking tour straight from the hostel was a fabulous way to get the most out of only having one day in Athens. Rooftop bar was a great way to meet other people at the hostel and make new friends.

Disliked: Free breakfast was basically just toast and boiled eggs. Great not to have to go searching for food but a little more variety would have been nice. Bathroom was a little dodgy and flooded all the time (although there was a squeegy on a stick provided to push it all down the drain which was amusing!). Lots of winding stairs was difficult with heavy bags and the lift was barely big enough to fit one person with their bag. I think the good points far outweigh the bad though, and after all, it is a hostel at hostel prices so I would not expect a "hotel" experience.

Liked: We stayed at the other hostel, around the corner from Athens Backpackers. This place was fine, but I reserved the original hostel based on the rooftop bar and kinda disappointed to be bumped. But the other hostel was clean, comfy, good location (except for being above a bar and kinda noisy), had a mini kitchen and tea maker in room, free breakfast, and very helpful staff. Always hot shower, maid service. Overall good hostel, would recommend again.

Disliked: Didn't give us towels, and shower had no curtain! AC didn't work. Kinda noisy since window had to be opened (located above sports bar). Kinda expensive. No safe box in room, but room door locked. No free pickup from airport :(

Liked: the guys that run the place are real friendly..the roof top bar was an awesome spot to relax after a long day of travelling..cheap beers:-) the rooms were very clean too

Liked: I liked the welcoming atmosphere and the proximity to an interesting part of Athens. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Disliked: It was strange not having a locker, but really nice people came and went from our room and it was never an issue.

Liked: Exceptionally friendly service and a friendly atmosphere. The view from the rooftop terrace is awesome. Eggs and toast breakfast is a bonus as is the fact that you can make your own tea and coffee in the day.

Disliked: A very busy place and people constantly coming and going in the night make for a disturbed sleep.

Liked: despite staying in the cheapest and smallest room (which lacked a locker to store our things) it was remarkably safe, GREAT location, and fabulous rooftop bar. definitely will recommend to any friends going to Athens. Also, the 2.5 hour walking tour for only 5 euro was totally worth it! Cheers!

Disliked: Only that we thought we were going to have a locker in our room but it was the only one without - but even still I was not worried at all about my things, it was totally safe, and we were able to store our valuables in the safe downstairs at the reception desk at no charge.

Liked: Location is great. Walking distance to Acropoli. A few steps from the metro. Safe and clean area of Athens. Waliking distance to Plaka and just a hop to metro to get to other places

Disliked: Unlike other hostels, it does not have any curtain or a simple divider for added privacy & your own reading light so you don't have to switch the main light if you like to read in the evening.

Liked: Room for luggage. Shower room outside. Perfect location (walking distance) to the Acropolis.

Disliked: No milk for breakfast. A bit noisy with drunk people at night in the hostel.

Liked: Really helpful staff, dead close to touristy stuff (Acropolis etc)

Disliked: Internet is Pay as you go, shower curtain wasn't long enough (or attached) so the whole bathroom got covered with water every time you have a shower.

Liked: Backpackers is everything you need in a hostel. Great location, easily accessible from the port and airport, staff are friendly & the rooftop bar is a little ripper.

Disliked: Breakfast is quite basic!
