It's a cute, older building and they employ very helpful staff who all spoke English either adequately or very well. The location was a short and straightforward walk from the train station and there are several business, beer gardens, grocery stores in the vicinity of the hostel. The hostel itself advertises rates of 60 euro, so we still got a great deal under their asking price. The breakfast was great, muesli, breads, cheeses, prosciutto, ham, butter, marmalade, orange juice and coffee. You could get 10min of internet for about 1 euro or got to an internet cafe nearby and get an hour for 0,90 euro. The hotel staff will give you a free map of the city and point you to wherever you like to go, all you have to do is ask. There is also a delightful vending machine downstairs if you need a late night beer or other beverage (can opener on the machine!). There was only one shower on our floor, but I don't think the hostel was at full capacity, so we did not encounter a wait in the early mornings. There were several toilets on our floor (4 I think), so that was also never a problem. There was a sink and mirror in our room (we booked a double) as well as an armoire, table and two chairs and of course a bed. This is near the LowenBrau beer garden and trian station, I have no idea how the location relates to Hofbrauhaus. Incidentally, it is also located near Hirtie, a huge department store where you can find a new camera to replace the one you just broke or anything else you might like. The staff helped us find this place so that we could replace our camera.

Great location! walking distance to main train station and especially Lowenbrau Keller for a real Bavarian biergarten experience!! All of the staff were helpful with directions and suggestions & most of the staff spoke english.
