Liked: The staff were particularly friendly, helping us and giving us a map. The facilities were well heated and very clean. Great location!

Disliked: The beds were slightly hard, but overall good!

Liked: We had very nice room with great view from the windows. Very clean like all German hotels (we traveled through Hamburg to Munich). However room doesn't have hair dryer, kettle and cups for tea. Staff was very nice and friendly. When we asked, they supplied us with everything we needed.

Disliked: Hotel is 3 min from train station/bus stop for airports buses what is great but is also quite big crossroads and is noisy at night specially from the trams. After all day in this great city we had good sleep anyway.

Liked: It was very close to the train station and the underground which puts you wherever you want/need to be in the city.

Disliked: No good common areas, was up on the 3rd-4th floor.

Liked: The beds were fine and storage good.

Disliked: Smokey rooms. All round dingy place. Unhelpful and rude staff. Careless with valuables when cleaning. Really wouldn't recommend.

Liked: Pension Locarno is across the road from the station. It is ideal if you have to get an early morning train. It's about 10-15 minutes walk from the Marienplatz.

Liked: What i like about this is that it has all the acomodations, nd for the prize is execelent, it has tv, hot water internet and the location was just a bonus a 3 steps from the train main station. Really nice pension i has a really good time there

Liked: Pension Locarno is literally a stone's throw away from the Hauptbahnhof so is very centrally located. It is easily a 5 - 10 minute walk to the Karlplatz & Marienplatz onwards as well as being accessible to the rest of Munich on the metro.There isn't always someone at reception but if you advise them beforehand when you need to pay up & leave they'll certainly accommodate you. We came across 3 different people while there but they were all friendly & helpful enough. They also let you store luggage as & when.The room itself was a good enough size for 4 of us, but we were given a fold out camp bed for the 4th person! No complaints from that person though! Although it was shared bathroom, it was directly opposite our door & was pretty much ours - no one else appeared to use it when we did at least!Towels are provided which was a nice little bonus! + a soap each at the sink in the bedroom.There isn't a communal area so it's not the best place to meet other travellers but is perfect for a couple of nights stay in Munich when all you want to do is to see/explore/cram everything in as much as possible!!

Liked: It is on a great location just out of the train station and was a comfortable place to relax after a full day out. The place is clean, with rooms cleaned every day and the persons on the reception where always helpful.
