Liked: The location wasn't bad- you can walk to everything fairly quickly and you can pick up public transport in the area as well.

Disliked: For the amount of money I paid to stay there I felt more could have been included in the price. It's 5 Euros to get Wi-Fi in your room (it is free in the lobby, though) and to use to public computer, you must pay a Euro for 20 mins. and then additional money after that for more time. Our bathrooms had a permanent moldy smell, the door knob to our room barely functioned (you had to just about rip it off the door to open it) and the walls are paper thin- so good luck if you're a light sleeper! Breakfast was also 4 Euro 50 and not that impressive- you can eat for a lot less in the Hauptbahnhof. It might be a bunch of little things, but when all added up, it made for an aggravating stay that wasn't really worth 45 Euros. There are plenty of better hostels out there.

Liked: Staff had excellent knowledge of local areas and advised on ways to save money on transport. The Beer Hall opposite is excellent.

Disliked: We returned two locks but were told that despite handing the locks over, we didn't have a reciept so coudln't reclaim the deposit. We were then not allowed the locks back. We should have been offered the locks or the deposit back. Receipt or not - the locks were clearly returned.

Liked: The place is really good. Very clean and hotel-like. Very safe as well.

Disliked: The only thing I did not like about my stay was that the internet in the room had to be paid for. And my room-mates were very grouchy about me using the laptop in the room.

Liked: It is so near the stations, so conveniently located and so easy to find...Yes, that make up for a lot of other little minuses....Super market is near and all in all just so convenient

Disliked: The walls are cheap and thin so even the room next door was noisy enough to bother me..., and generally it is getting a bit worn down here and there...like the locker did not close properly, and I could find another one but it can get full. And there was an mergence exit /staircase right outside the room and people were smoking there and leaving all the cigarette butt and that seemed not to get cleaned....The elevator is very small and only one...so one has to wait if one has heavy luggage...

Liked: The rooms were very nice, good comfy beds, decent size and they had en-suite with nice facilities. The bar was good as it was open late, had happy hour, the drinks were generally cheap anyway (3.50 euro for a 500ml beer). The bar tender was very friendly and up for a laugh.

Disliked: Place wasn't that fun as there were a lot of school groups so it was hard to meet people and even if you did they weren't allowed to leave. So for single travellers or pairs it is not very good.

Liked: Meininger hostels are always cool and friendly. i have often been there and never had any problem

Disliked: maybe the single rooms are not so cheap.

Liked: Room rate, location. The restaurant (beer manufactury) in front of the building.

Disliked: Cleanliness of the walls, floor and windows. Bathroom was ok.

Liked: Very close to the train station

Disliked: it's not bed and breakfast. Breakfast is not included in the price. The WiFi in the rooms cost money and they don't have good parking spaces.

Liked: It's the best hostel what i ever see. Good place to sleep. Good place to meet new people. Good kitchen. Clean bath and toilet. Underground parking with a good price. And of course good price. Everything was perfect.

Disliked: no kettle on the kitchen
