Liked: Location and the restaurant. The food was excellent, too bad it does not open for breakfast. The view of the castle is spectacular and the access to the old town can't be beat. Met some locals at the restaurant which is really a plus.

Liked: I thought that the hostel had a great feel and location - in the middle of the Altstadt or old city. The staff was quite friendly and helpful. It was an overall great experience, however no cooking facilities of any kind are provided (although they give you a discount at the restaurant next door.

Liked: Private rooms were very clean but in a different location than the dorms. Be prepared to pick up your key and walk a bit. Cleaning lady was very friendly. Take earplugs since students outside are VERY noisy. Great place to sleep.

Liked: The location was great, and the staff were really nice and helpful. The beds were nice but there were some things stored in our room for the restaurant so that was a little strange, but overall a very good stay.

Liked: Location, location, location! Great place in the city centre close to the university, castle. Excellent host and also has an excellent pub. The host was friendly and helpful. I wouldn't look for another hostel in Hiedelberg.

Liked: Close to the old-own and schloss. The attached pub does good specials on authentic (and yum) food for hostel guests. Upstairs showers are new and clean.
