Liked: Not very clean, broken furniture, bathroom wasn't that great. Rooms very hot in the summer. A good for one night stay, but not great for any longer.

Liked: Hostel was located in the quaint Old Town of Heidelburg, really the only place worth going when you're here. Walking there straight from the train station takes over half an hour, but the bus shoots you pretty much straight there. You can't check in before 15:00, as they are also a restaurant and are too busy before then to handle hostelers. However, noise is minimum and no disturbances from the restaurant. You get one free drink upon check in (if you check in between 15:00 and 18:00, I believe). Rooms were spacious; bathrooms fairly clean, small common room. Free compter with Internet access for use at restaurant bar. Wasn't a lot of interaction between hostelers; no breakfast.

Liked: It is in a great location and the staff were very helpful and friendly. They have a nice bar and restaurant where i had great fun and enjoyed the delicious food at reasonable price.

Liked: Without a doubt this was the hostel, I ever stayed in, and I have stayed in dozens throughout my travels around the world. Its in superbly positioned in the wonderful old Aldtstadt of Heidelberg. Right next to the river and all the restaurants and facilities. The small station of Karlstot Bahnhof is just 3 minutes walk away, so from the main station, it is very easy to get there. The hostelhas very friendly and efficient staff, and Gino, the owner, has a great value restaurant next door, so it is so convenient. They have specials for hostel guests, so for dining, its the best option also. I highly recommend that anyone visiting the enchanting city of Heidelberg, it is simply the best option.I really lok forward to staying there again. Excellent !!!!

Liked: I liked this hostel a lot. It was small, but it had character. Very helpful, friendly staff. Downstairs, there's a bar where you can get good food and drinks. Good location. I would definitely recommend this hostel.

Liked: Sudfane is a hostel very good located. It is near to the old town and easy access to everything. The only thing to I really don´t like it sometimes is very noisy but if you want to do a night life is very good place also.The restaurant food is great, very good prices and specialite in german food.I recomended this place if you want to go to Heidelberg

Liked: The owner of the hostel was very nice and he helped me a lot. We had a nice chat and really want to thanks for the dessert. The room was big and it's good enough for staying one or few days.

Liked: Great sized private room with good heating for winter, clean sheets and a tv. Close to a supermarket and transport into town. The city is about a 15min s-Bahn ride away. Don't catch a taxi..they get lost and it will cost close to €19 to get there. The Mercedes Museum is 1 stop away on the train and is well worth a look. Great Kitchen and Dining Area and nice and clean Bathroom....value for money hostel.
