Liked: Hostel is located in the middle of Heidelberg, which makes very easy to get to the major attractions, such as Heidelberg castle.

Disliked: The guests staying in the room next to my room had to walk in and out of my room to go anywhere (their room did not have a door). It really didn't bother me too much, though, because I sleep through most noises.

Liked: It was the cheapest place we could find. The location is A+ but best to ignore the directions in the description and walk from Heidelberg Altstadt station on the RE line if you are coming in on the train.

Disliked: This place was very susceptible to street noise. Bring earplugs! They are a must

Liked: It was inexpensive, clean, simple and the restaurant downstairs was fantastic, with special meal prices for guests. Great free internet too!

Liked: It was located in the centre of the main street in Heidelberg. It has its own restaurant and bar with beer garden. wifi at the main site. easy to meet people

Disliked: Not all the dorms are at the main bar. We were walked down the road 10 mins to another block of flats nowhere near the main hostel. You can only check in after 3pm which was restricting as we arrived at 11am and had to wait with our bags because none of the hostel staff were working in the restaurant at that time

Liked: central location, possibility to have a nice dinner for 6EUR, friendly staff

Disliked: Don't expect to check in before 14.00 as this hostel does not have a reception and the staff is busy serving lunch for guests, the rooms won't be ready.

Liked: The waitresses at the restaurant were quite friendly; the food is a good deal; the location is excellent, although it's annoying to lug your stuff down to the hotel only to be told by a rather chilly receptionist to go a few blocks back up the street.

Disliked: The wireless wasn't working at the main hostel (although at the apartment-style lodgings, one can patronize the cafe/bar downstairs and use that wireless); the two free computers were occupied by girls on facebook for what seemed like hours on end; the room smelled a bit funky.

Liked: Great location, right in the heart of Alt Stadt, with the Alte Brucke and Schloss within easy walking distance! Good deals on food in the restaurant.

Disliked: The owners could work on their hospitality skills, they had the tendency to be curt to borderline rude to customers. Don't bother showing up before 3 to check in here either, I came at 1 in the afternoon and was sent packing. . .

Liked: Restaurant below the hostel has nice meals at a discount for hostel guests. The meals were 6€ at the time I visited. Great service from the staff and near bus stops.

Liked: There was no reception. They should have one there. Anyone who went in will feel that it is a restaurant instead. But they take care of the guests by giving them discounted prices when dining at the restaurant. The boss is so handsome! He was kind enough to refund me half the day's rate when I needed to cancel my last day of stay at the last minute.

Liked: we were confused @ first, b/c it is actuallie owned by a restaurant and therefore is linked. to us, this meant discounts on the restaurant food =)the walls were pretty thin though. the people beside our room made a lot of noise around 3am and u could distincitvely make us voices and words.

Liked: There were restaurant deal for hostel residents at the restaurant next door. The food at the restaurant was good for a very good price.

Liked: We booked a 4 person private room, and this was a 5 minute walk from the main hostel. However, it was right in the view of the main market square where the Christmas market was. Good clean rooms (1 double bed and 1 twin bunk bed room). There was a small kitchen with some cutlery. Bathroom was clean and recently modernised. It was more of a small apartment than a hostel. For the price, this was good value.

Liked: great location, but the bar is tiny, and is a popular restaurant with the locals so it means its not easy to chill out there in the evening - not really a fantastic place to meet people, but not bad. And it is clean if basic, and pretty comfortable (tho the snorer in my dorm was a downer).

Liked: The staff is really friendly and the restaurant-bar is good! The location is quite near to the river and the castel! It's in the old town area! Although there's not so many things to do at night, it's easy to reach most of the spotlights in Heidelberg!

Liked: heidelberg needs more places like this. there is very little affordable there so this is a great spot. it´s pretty threadbare but clean and the bar/restaurant is a nice place to hang out. great location in a quiet and charming corner of the city centre.
