The reception is open between 08h00 – 22h00 Room Check–Out until 12h00 Room Check–In 14h00 You need to contact the Hostel directly in advance if your arrival time will be later than 22h00 to make special arrangements! When checking in, you will receive a key which will guarantee 24h access to the hostel. "We accept max. 6 persons per online booking. Nice and peaceful bigger groups are welcome to contact us via Email. We would like to keep the relaxed atmosphere in our hostel. So we do not want/accept stag or hen parties, school classes or anything of the sort. Should such groups book anyway, we will refuse accomodation and terminate the admission contract without further notice. In such case that services are not used by the affected Customer, cancellation fees in accordance with cancellation rules will apply. "

About Steffis Hostel Heidelberg

Located just metres from the main station we would like to offer you an affordable and comfortable choice of accommodation.
You can stay in one of our beautifully and individually furnished Doubles or Dorms and enjoy the cosy atmosphere together with other Travellers and Backpackers from all over the world.
We love backpacking and we love nature and therefore do our very best to give you a homey & natural place where you can relax from the wild days on the road.
The team of the Hostel is there for you, we would like to help you with planning your Heidelberg stay and onward journey.
Everything we know and love about this town we are happy to share with you, so please feel free to ask us anything you would like to know.

Accommodation Information

You have the choice of staying in one of our lovely individual rooms (Double/Twin, Triple or Family Quad) or in one of our spacious dorms (4 - 10 beds). All rooms have shared clean bathroom facilities.
We are trying to be environmentally friendly, all our rooms have natural themes and we have used sustainable materials whenever it was possible (floors/walls etc.)
Maybe you would like to stay in one of our element rooms or in an autumn forest, have a free breakfast in a bamboo garden or use the free Wi-Fi in a hammock.

Location Information

We are conveniently located about 200 metres from Heidelbergs Main Station.
So after you have arrived by train or bus, just walk over and drop your heavy backpacks or luggage, enjoy a free cup of coffee or tea in the communal kitchen and afterwards get ready to explore beautiful Heidelberg.
Our small town is stretching along the riverbanks of the Neckar and one of the most beloved places of Heidelbergs inhabitants is the Neckarwiese, a grassy area along the river. You can easily walk there in just a few minutes from the Hostel (or you are even faster if you take one of the free bikes we offer for city exploration).
After a picnic on the Neckarwiese you might have enough energy to walk the famous Philosophers Way where you can get the perfect picture of the world-famous Castle and Old town.
A easy walk down the “Winding Path" and over the "Old Bridge" will get you into the middle of the Old town area and from here it is just a short walk or an interesting ride up with a funicular railway to reach the stunning Castle Ruins.
End the perfect day with a romantic evening in one of the little traditional restaurants or party away in "Untere Strasse" where you will find one student pub next to the other.
A short and cheap bus ride and you are back in the Hostel to meet new friends to talk about your Heidelberg experience.
