Overview

The youth hostel was re-opened in autumn 2005 following complete renovation and enlargement. It offers contemporary comfort in line with youth hostel standards and is suitable for school classes, groups of youngsters, families and individual guests alike. The grounds feature a large courtyard garden, rock and alpine garden, climbing wall, obstacle course, and volleyball court and ping-pong tables. Location Information

As a foremost winter sports resort, Garmisch-Partenkirchen is one of the most popular holiday destinations in the Bavarian Alps. The Wetterstein range, one of the mightiest on the northern side of the Alps, towers above the town along with the Zugspitze, at 2962 meter Germany's highest peak. The youth hostel itself is located in the Burgrain district, about three kilometer north of the centre of Garmisch.
