Liked: Great views, as everyone else has said - good location and helpful staff.

Disliked: The dorm bed I was sleeping in, had slats in missing, meaning it was a bit uncomfy. The wooden floors and locks on doors were loud too, meaning it woke you up at about 6-7am.

Liked: Nice and helpful staff. Reacheable by walk easily from the main station. Just 8 euros to rent a bike for 24hours, by which i rode from hostel to Neuswantein Csatle. Oh, and you will get 2 euros discount of admssion fee for the castle!

Disliked: Not a great deal for the 2.5 euros' breakfast, considering it was just a cup of coffee & some bread, especially when there's a supermarket in the city center.

Disliked: we have to move in an another place when we arrived (in an another hostel, 20mn by walk) and no key for our room

Liked: The hostel was only a short walk from the train/bus station, which was nice as Füssen is a stop off for getting the Neuschwanstein Castle. The rooms were nice & big, as were the bathrooms. The doors to all of the rooms were a bit difficult to open and keep closed, but that's a minor problem.

Disliked: The owner & guy working there were a bit confusing when they were explaining how things work, where to go etc. but they were really willing to help. You just have to be patient & alert to sort things out. We stayed for 2 nits and had to change rooms in the middle because of a booking error. Not a big deal, but kind of annoying to have to pack up on a day we weren't traveling.

Liked: Beautiful view of the mountains and Neuschwanstein Castle, nice rooms, good breakfast.

Disliked: No security for dorm rooms; anyone could just walk into the hostel and into the dorms.

Liked: Staff was very nice, though they did not always know what they were doing.

Disliked: I know that they were trying, but they lost my booking, misplaced my luggage on second day (no lockers), did not have any place to securely store gear (stored behind stairs with open door to public). It was nice enough, and the location is nice, but very unorganized. Sorry!

Liked: The hostel is just one of the best ones I've ever been to. The owner is helpful and friendly, very kind and easy going with his guests. It is kind of a familiar atmosphere. Probably the rooms are not the best in the world, but you feel really comfy being there. I would love to go back to Füssen to visit the area again, no doubt I will repeat my accomodation! Highly recomendable

Disliked: The only "negative" aspect is the complete lack of security. We get to the house and everything was open. You don't get a key to access the rooms as there are no keys. However once you are in Füssen you know way it works this way. It's a very safe city, as it used to be in the old days everywhere.

Liked: very clean bathrooms and bunk beds at attic. superb view of Neuschwanstein Castle and alpine mountains from attic. very cosy environment. feel homely with friendly & helpful staff.

Disliked: insufficient bathrooms and toilets - had waited for 30mins for my shower. was surprised to see queue formed outside bathroom. hence House LA - City Hostel needs to improve bathroom & toilet facilities to cater for guests.

Liked: Very clean, staff are very friendly. Free, fast Wifi. The hostel location (they apparently have a second location with more private rooms as well) is in a nice older house, about 5 mins from the town center.

Disliked: Breakfast was extra, no kitchen for guests.

Liked: It was close to the train.

Disliked: Let me start by saying we do not usually stay in hostels. The hostel was in a creaky old building and was a bit worn. The room was reasonably clean but common areas were dirty. We had to wait 20 minutes before they knew which room I had resrved. Overall our stay was ok and it was only 18 € per night.
