Liked: great base to stay if you dont want to do a crazy day trip to the bavarian castles. had a nice time chatting with the people i met at the hostel and walked the 5k or so to the castles. it was a great way to spend the day outdoors and i really enjoyed staying there. it's more of a quiet place to stay and the rooms are pretty spacious (unless they put in a cot to try to have more people stay in the dorm rooms). overall i had a good time and enjoyed my time there.

Liked: We arrived about 9 p.m., and although they do not have 24 hr reception, we were able to call the owner and he showed up within 5 or 10 minutes. It was easy to find and walk to from the station. We also had a beautiful view of the Neuschwanstein castle from our room! The breakfast was also a good value with freshly made hot buns and eggs.

Liked: What a quaint place to stay! Loved the set up and walking distance into main town was good. The owners were really helpful and put us in a really good room when we arrived. The only issue was finding the place, being Australian we didnt really understand how the street names were and didnt realise that the directions gave us 3 different addresses as they have 3 different hostels. But after getting to the first one and then heading off to the 2nd, it really wasnt that much of a hassle and they dropped the price when we got there!We really loved staying in Fussen.

Liked: It was as central to the Fussen train station as I could have asked for! It has a very convenient location, the staff was friendly, family-like, and they helped me with everything! It also has a great view of the Neuschwanstein castle from the balcony! I would super-recommend this hostel to anyone who is either going through Fussen as a destination in the Romantic Road or going to Neuschwanstein!!!
