In the east of Germany, Saxony/East of Dresden /Elbsandsteingebirge, Saxon Switzerland (Sächsische Schweiz), Elbeknie. By train from Dresden: Get off at railway station Königstein/Ferryboat to Halbestadt/About 30min comfortable foothpath downstream/To the end of the tarmac rd. The only direct approach road to our house leads from Bad Schandau/Rathmannsdorf via Prossen and Königstein/Halbestadt.

Motorway / Autobahn A17 Dresden – Prague / Prague – Dresden
Exit / Abfahrt Pirna
Highway / Bundesstraße B 172 direction Bad Schandau
After the Elbe River Bridge turn right
direction Hohnstein, Rathmannsdorf
pass by Penny Markt and Aral Petrolstation
pass by butchery / Fleischerei and bakery / Bäckerei
turn left on the Corner-Cafe “Wendischfähre” direction Prossen
in Prossen go straight on to the Prossen Castle
pass by on the right side (small road)
follow the sign Elbe-Radweg, Naturfreundehaus
pass by the Naturfreundehaus and the ferry jetty
3 km to the end of the sealed road

From Prague: get off in Bad Schandau
take the train S1 (S-Bahn S1 / Regionalbahn S1)
direction Meissen-Triebischtal
go one station to Königstein
get off in Königstein
cross the Elbe River by the ferry boat to Halbestadt (other side)

From Dresden: take the train S1 (S-Bahn S1 / Regionalbahn S1)
direction Schöna
get off in Königstein
cross the river Elbe by the ferry boat to Halbestadt (other side)
