Liked: The lobby because it is a bar. Also we had a kitchen on each floor, that is really important when you want to travel cheap as a backpacker. But most important of all. The neighborhood where the hostel is located FUCKING RULES!!!!!!!!!! It was awsome, great people. You can really experience the life of Dresden in the place where Mondpalast is located. Kick ass!!!

Liked: Wonderful Hostel. Only one word can describe it - GROOVY. It is decorated splendidly in a cool space, mythical theme type thing which runs into the bar downstairs in a great part of Dresden with plenty of bars and eating places! Not far from the city either. The breakfast was spectacular and well worth the extra €3! Would reccommend this hostel to anyone looking to come to Saxony!

Liked: Each floor was themed and each room on each floor had a different take on the theme. The first floor, for example, was celestially themed and each room was patterned after a separate sign of the Zodiac. The bar downstairs was reasonably priced and the hostel was located on Louisenstr., quite a chill, hip area surrounded by cool shopping options, bars, cafes, and restaurants. There was also a really nice kitchen area on each floor and the bathrooms/showers were quite clean. I stayed there on a Wednesday night, so we didn't really see too many other hostelers, but I would think that it would be pretty easy to meet people here if you are staying over a weekend.

Liked: All-you-can-eat breakfast certainly saves on buying lunch, HOWEVER rarely have I encountered a hostel with more smoke - even at breakfast! For goodness sake guys consider banning smoking for at least part of breakfast. It's a hike from the old town but right in the middle of nightlife any night of the week. Mostly domestic guests, only met a few international guests over the three nights. Clean rooms, good showers.
