Liked: check in anytime, the staff is knowledgeable about local places and happy to recommend, cheap beers and shots, had a big room, nice breakfast, offered bike rentals, free wifi in the bar, and the staff definitely went out of their way a couple times to help me out

Disliked: the location is a little odd. it's not on a main strip, and not exactly next to a metro station. it's near the student area with lots of bars and cheap food, but it's a bit far from downtown/oldtown. the bar is also pretty dead (but you shouldn't be stuck in your hostel anyway! get out there!)

Liked: Comfy beds, pillows and shower. Almost like a hotel.

Disliked: My bunk bed in the 8 dorm took some gymnastics to climb up as the ladder was partly blocked by lockers. Otherwise it was great.

Liked: Loved the staff--so friendly and willing to help! The facilities are great and the big closets are good, as well.

Disliked: The TV in my room didn't work, and I had been looking forward to watching a lot of crap German TV. Bit of a long walk from the train with all my stuff. Also, I wish it didn't cost quite so much to wash a load of clothes. 5 Euro is a lot of money for such a small chore...

Liked: Beds and clean sheets were good. Key card access to front door at night and 24/7 for rooms. Reasonably well equiped kitchen and really friendly staff.

Disliked: Don't think it's particular good for single travellers, not much in the way of common areas. Free wifi area is very limited - but at least there is access.

Liked: It was good, except of smallnes of our room, it seperates the grils and boys cabin. That's why I like it.

Liked: I loved this place ! We had wonderful holidays, the people were very friendly, the breakfast really correct. Warm bedroom. J'ai énormément apprécié cet endroit, chambre parfaite pour nous, bien chauffée, un petit déjeuner correct, un super accueil.

Disliked: Oriane left no negative feedback.

Liked: Very friendly and helpful staff. Very good breakfast. Clean room.

Disliked: Uncomfortable bed. The location is good but if you want to go to Dom you have to take train.

Liked: The staff was amazing, extremely friendly and helpful. Great location, near night life and city centre. All the possible facilities, from guest kitchen to friendly bar, you can also borrow hair drier, towels, and buy anything you might need. Clean rooms.

Disliked: Breakfast and internet not included.

Liked: Really well set-up, nice to have a private bathroom, very clean, good Wi-Fi in the bar, good location near lots of bars (if a bit far from the train station)

Disliked: Just a bit far from the train station, but it's not a big problem

Liked: Good location. Very close to public transport and only a few minutes walk to shopping and restaurants. Warm blankets and soft pillows.

Disliked: Beds are a little hard for my taste. Although I didn't go down there, allowing smoking after 10pm as the signs suggested would have annoyed me.

Disliked: The lobby downstairs was filled with drunken people and was chaos. Also this was the most expensive hostel we stayed in but definitely not the best...

Liked: Meininger are a great chain of hostels. the cologne meininger was one of the nicest ive ever stayed in. great rooms with nice bathrooms and very comfy beds. great location very close to the main square and areas in cologne and not far from the cathedral.

Disliked: nothing!
