Liked: Good location, nice feel, quite comfortable. Staff were helpful and there were a lot of useful extras (eg. luggage room, kitchen, games room).

Disliked: Bath mat in the bathroom wasn't replaced during my stay and was not all that clean. I don't know if it was possible for guests to hire their own towels; probably not, as this wasn't listed on the booklet of services. This might be a good thing to introduce.

Liked: It was pretty clean, they had someone at the desk 24 hours a day, and the people at the desk were pretty helpful.

Disliked: The only problem I had with this hostel is that I accidentally left my room key in the room so they charged me 5 euro for the key.

Liked: The property has very clean rooms and bed linen for all guests. The facilities are good the rooms are well appointed.

Disliked: There seemed to be a lack of atmosphere in the hostel. There did not seem to be many other travellers there, rather people in town for a night or on a business trip. The bar downstairs was not a bad place to meet people, but all in all it did not have that typical backpacker/traveller vibe.

Liked: Most of all,I liked the friendliness and helpfulness of the stuff. They would help us in everything we asked with accurate information and always with extreme politeness! They would even provide information which could be useful even if we didn't even know about it! As for the rooms,it was better than I expected! Very comfortable beds! Towels provided as needed,hot water at all times, vending machines with beverages and snacks, anything needed was there! Not to mention the bar! Cosy and pleasant! The best thing was that they let us check in earlier that the appointed time since the rooms had been cleaned earlier that 15:00 and there was a facility of later check out after previously informing the stuff and getting a charge of only 5 euros! In addiion,there were U-Bahn stations nearby !

Disliked: There were only minor details I disliked,not even worthy to mention!!

Liked: Its a hostel-hotel place. Very clean and well located. Just a few meters of the best of Kohn nightlife.

Liked: The staff was very patient and kind; they were also fluent in multiple languages. My room and roommates (I rented a suite) were very nice. I wanted to take that pillow home with me!! We had a window overlooking the street and were able to relax and watch the city people walking about.

Disliked: The washer was a little hard to figure out for an English-only person, and the dryer broke before I could use it. I used the detergent available at the desk for purchase of 5 euros; unfortunately, I had an allergic reaction.

Liked: The hostel is located in a quite community (However its not that easy to find the hostel based on the instrction they gave). We didnt explore much of the facilities there, but at least the dorm is clean and basically comfortable.

Disliked: There is only one shower and toilet with in that 8-person dorm, which is really un-sufficient.

Liked: Truly an incredible place.. I reached Cologne on a carnival day.. whole city was on the party mood so as Hostel.. though my stay was just for a day.. I will remember it for ever.. Bed was clean.. Bathroom was very well maintained...

Disliked: It may be because of the carnival... outside the hostel it was so noisy..

Liked: Modern, clean, warm building (apart from the dining room which had no heating). Nice bathroom and dorm. Staff friendly.

Disliked: My dorm was on top of the bar and the door kept slamming all night so that I had to move to a single room on 4th floor. The door was so noisy that I could still hear it on the 4th floor. Although it wasnt my fault that I had to move they still charged me extra for the single room. The next night they had done something to the door to minimise the sound. The dining room was cold and impersonal. There was no information as to which restaurants were open over Xmas. It was quite had to find a place to eat.

Liked: Cozy red-gray minimalistic design, enough room space (was stay in quadriple), great shower-toilet and bed. Cool chillout-rooms with table soccer, puffs etc.

Disliked: Paid Wi-Fi - 2 euro for 1 hour. No towels.
