Liked: While it is not located dirtectly in the Heart of Cologne, it IS only a block away from the area of the city that is overflowing with good Kölsch and Rheinland restaurants and Bierhalls. The staff was very friendly, especially the lady who runs the place. She is a German teacher and also speaks relatively good English. The rooms are very nice and well presented, and comfortable enough. A good value and a good location to be sure!

Liked: The location is absolutely ideal for the old town and is a very short walk from the station, cathedral and many pubs in this part of town. The hostel is well maintained and the staff very helpful. Great value.

Liked: Location! The staff was also really friendly. There is a great little dive bar that has great Koelch (the local beer), the rooms were clean, and the shared bath facilities were just fine, although the showers were easily clogged (hehe, or i am just loosing too much hair!!!). I didn't notice hostelbookers being promoted, but it doesn't mean it wasn't there.

Liked: I like the location. The Dom is 5 or 8 minutes walking. The internet is free, so you don´t pay a lot in other places.You can ask anything to the staff and they will help.

Liked: Very very clean, cheerful decor, helpful staff, free internet. Quiet, but bar a few doors down (also owned by hostel) makes fun, cheap food+drink easily available. good location.I recommend staying here.
