Liked: The location was really good for closeness for train station, the christmas markets and the cathedral. The room although basic had comfortable beds. For the price it's just what I expected. Cheap place to stay in the centre of Colgne.

Disliked: I was really cross that on arrival I was told there was no breakfast.With no reason given. I chose the hotel on the fact that breakfast was included.They did give you a discount to make up for it.

Liked: It was close the the train station. Staff was friendly and helpful

Disliked: The first time we went there we had to walk through a tunnel that smelled very strongly of urine. There were also homeless people sleeping there. The hotel itself smelled like smoke. It got worse at night to the point where it was like having a smoker in the room. The WIFI signal was not strong enough to use on the first floor, so we had to sit in the lobby to use it. The last night we were there some one in the next building over was pounding on the wall for two hours until midnight. I went to the front desk and they tried to be helpful, but they didn't have much control about over the people next door and obviously couldn't go door to door to find out who was smoking. The wall looked water damaged and at least 2 layers of wallpaper or paint were ripped off. On of the bed frames was bend.

Liked: The hostel was at center of the city bu walking distance to central station and to the Dom.

Liked: It is literally 100m from the station and easy to find.The bedrooms are clean and bright with lots of channels on the TV. Breakfast was provided - continental and very nice. Staff were very friendly and spoke English. Only gripes is that the heating was poor or non-existant in the room, when it was -12 degrees outside, and that noise travelled easily (particulalry from the late night revellers). However, perfect place for any backpacker or couple's weekend break, I would definitely use this hostel again and certainly recommend it to others.

Liked: The location was good; very close to the city center and the staff was available 24 hours a day and friendly. It's a good hotel for people who are on a tight budget; it was clean and the room looked good. The only remark we had, was that there was no bathroom. There was a shower-cabine in the room, but that was in the room itself. And there was NO toilet. You had to go out into the hall to reach a toilet. This way you don't have a lot of privacy. The second remark we had was that it was quite cold when we stayed there and it was very hard to make the room comfortably warm. Breakfast was 'ok' but not extremely diverse or special. For the price we paid, our stay in this hotel was good enough.
