Overview
Our Weltempfänger Hostel is a nice and low priced accommodation for backpackers and other travellers. In our enclosed café you can enjoy a cup of coffee with cake or a drink in the evening in a friendly and international atmosphere.
We are easily accessible by public transport. We offer low priced but comfortable accommodation, with friendly people in a good location and we hope everybody will feel very welcome in our house.
For self-sufficient guests we offer kitchen facilities in the common room. But our café also provides opportunities to have a rich breakfast, a hot cup of coffee or tea with a delicious piece of cake in the afternoon, or a relaxing glass of wine or beer with friends in the evening. Our hostel is a very good starting point to explore the city of Cologne, this might happen i.e. with one of our bicycle rentals.
Accommodation Information
All dormitory rooms contain bunk beds and lockers. You can bring your own padlock or buy one at the reception. Most of the rooms contain private bath. Linen are provided, towels can be rented.
The fully equipped kitchen in the first floor is open for common use. You can store the food you brought in the fridge. For a small extra fee there will be offered a nice breakfast in the Weltempfänger Café.

Location Information
Our backpacker hostel is located at the edge of the city center. Beside our enclosed café, in the nearby neighborhood you will find lots of nice, cheap restaurants, a bunch of stylish and old-fashioned bars, dancing clubs, theater, cinema, shopping, green parks for relaxing etc.

Important Information
"Linen is included. Please understand that for hygenical reasons we will not allow the usage of sleeping bags. A towel can be rented for a singular extra cost of 1 Euro, as of three days it would be inclusive. Breakfast for 4 Euro is offered from 8.00-12.00. For the room key we will retain a deposit of 20 Euro in cash. The cancellation policy for bookings of 1-4 people is 1 week. Cancellations must be made in written form (i.e. via email). For non-arrivals and late cancellations after this period a one-night charge may be applied. Our hostel is a non-smoking home. You can smoke only outside the house. We ask all guests urgently to abide by this rule. Check-in time is from 2pm to 8pm, check-out before noon. Early arrivals do have the possibility to store luggage in our hostel. Later arrival only after prior consultation. Between midnight and 7am the reception is closed, during this period check-in or -out is not possible."
Cancellation Policy
Guests can cancel their reservation free of charge up to 7 days before arrival. Payments made to HostelBookers are non-refundable.
