Liked: We stayed in more than 10 hostels this summer during my trip and ths one was the best! I do recommend it to everyone. The staff is really friendly and nice, they helped us to get used to the city. The kitchen is the best place in the hole hostel, it has a good atmosphere to meet nice people and also cook the FREE pasta that they provide to the guests.Gustavo and Nicole from Brazil

Liked: Nice atmosphere, not a party hostel but great place to meet people. The all female dorm was great, i didn't realise how much of a difference that would make. Free pasta and breakfast too! Washing machine for just a couple of euro's too.

Liked: Black Sheep was a fun, friendly place to stay for two nights in Cologne. Staff are helpful and friendly, and the rooms were well-maintained and clean. Besides several guy-girl showers, they had guy-only / girl-only washrooms and showers, with good water pressure, lots of light and space, and even offered a little bowl of free tampons for ladies in need. :) Free internet in the kitchen was handy, and would definitely stay again. Easy to get to from Hbf.

Liked: Great hostel near center of Cologne. I liked it very much. Only bad is that Barbarossaplatz was quite noisy but I´ll recommend these.

Liked: The Black Sheep was an amazing place to stay, really clean and comfortable, safe and a great place to hang out with people as there was a communal area. Breakfast was within reasonable hours and it was really cheap to stay there. Brill! Would reccommend to anyone! :)

Liked: a great and unique place to stay, where effort is made to make your stay comfortable and welcomming, it takes the edge off the usual hostel. although the only downside was the traffic noise on the streetsand the patrons of the macdonalds below the hostel, i recommend earplugs if you plan to sleep before köln goes to sleep :)

Liked: the hostel is clean, however, the stairs to the first floor where the hostel is, stink! and also the noise coming from trains, trams and the street side is annoying!

Liked: Last night was awaken to guys on the roof outside banging on our window. Staff is there are night but not paid and down the hall so they were unaware of what was happening. They carried on for several hours and you could hear them through the walls. Other then that it was a wonderful hostel and very clean.

Liked: Excellent directions posted, really easy to find, with well-stocked kitchen you can use anytime of the day, friendly and helpful staff, really clean facilities and lovely sheets on spacious beds.

Liked: I had a really good weekend there. The staff is great... friendly and kind.I was lucky because I was there for their first anniversary and we had a party. It was really good. I even danced salsa!I recommend it.

Liked: They have a kitchen with free breakfast and milk. the rooms a big but a bit noisy from traffic on the road. only the front door was locked and not the bedroom doors
