Liked: The location is excellent. The overall impression is very good. Actually it is like staying in a regular hotel if you can accept that other people are staying in the same room as you.

Disliked: I didn´t like my finish room mate, who came in late the last night, farting and snooring all the night. He didn´t smell good, but all this has nothing to do with the hostel itself. Great value for money.

Liked: Very clean. Close to a normal hotel.

Disliked: Check-Out Time at 9:30 is very early. Should be at 11.

Liked: Good location right next to the second-largest train station in Cologne, and breakfast was free.

Disliked: No wi-fi unless you pay for it; breakfast and check-out are very early (9 a.m.). Also the air conditioner in my room didn't work.

Liked: Good location. Easy walk to city centre, very close to train station. Room clean and had separate toilet and bath room. Good breakfast with nice warm rolls.

Disliked: On arrival were told that we needed to be a member of Youth Hostel Assoc. - no mention of this on the website and was not the case for anywhere else we had stayed. Luckily they eventually waived the fee. Asked about car parking for our hire car and were told that there were only 35 sites for 500 rooms, so no guarantee of getting a parking spot. Web site had said that there was lots of parking. Luckily we did get a park. This hostel seems to cater mainly for teenage school groups. We had a room in amongst school children who didnt sleep all night, We had asked to change our room when we arrived and saw all the noisy children and were told "remember what you were like when you were that age." Complained during the night but staff couldn't control the children either. No sleep. The next night there were more school children, who were much better behaved, luckliy.

Liked: The building is an excellent, modern, purpose built hostel with excellent facilities. The free breakfast is excellent and the staff very helpful.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike.

Liked: It is clean and the staff is friendly and helpfull. The Hostel is located at the other side of the Rine and it is easy to walk to the city center. I also liked the breakfast with fresh baked bread.

Disliked: It is very big and therefore less cosy.

Liked: it's big,and clean,bethroom is very connvinient location is good,only one stop from city centre,even you can walk there

Disliked: a little expensive,but it's eve,so maybe the time is expensive,i don't know. while I used my hair dryer in my room,electricity powered off suddenly,they told me it's not allowed to use that,but my machine is really safe,and there is no wifi in rooms

Liked: It is very clean, the receptionists speak English, the rooms are big and nice! It is very cheap! And in the morning we had a lovely breakfast which was included in the price! And it is very near by the centre of Köln! If I come back, i'll go back to this hostel!!!
