Liked: The building is amazing. The hostel is quite cool.

Disliked: The location is quite "far from everything". The public transport connection is good, though.

Liked: New. Clean. friendly and goodlooking staff. extra wallsockets under the beds in the dorm.

Disliked: No lockers in the dorm.

Liked: Very friendly staff. I had a tv in my room and it had really posh red couchs. I really did not expect that much as it cost me the same I paid in cheap youth hostals in other cities. I wish I could have stayed there for longer!It was also very easy to go to Movie park from there.

Liked: Very well located, walking distance from Aldi, Spacious and very clean rooms. Continental breakfast not included, but only 4.90 euros the personnel and staffs are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are very clean and had a shower.My family liked it a lot, Quality and price were very good the rooms are very clean, we would rate it 4 ****.If you're looking for a Hotel between The Movie Park to see Sponge Bob and Phantasialand with luxury rooms and great food, yet also want to avoid the noise of the busy city centre then the Ruhrstadt Hostel & Hotel is certainly the place to stay. When I first arrived with my wife and four children we were immediately made to feel at home by the staffs that were both friendly and helpful.As for the hotel itself - it looks amazing as if it’s been refurbished. The perfect blend of both old town and modern styling makes this hotel standout from the crowd,.The restaurant serves some great food. While the menu is predominantly Greek and not Germany and certainly found there was enough choice and variety on offer. The down side our German was poor and their English was poor, and menu in both would have been helpful

Liked: how clean the hostel was, but most of all how accomadationg the staff were. we arrived very late as we got lost in the rain on our motorbikes after traveling for three long hours. The front reception looked after us as we arrived past the opening hours. Aslo the bar stayed open just so we could have a beer. Thank you

Liked: Nice room, friendly personel. The room with pooltable and footballtable was nice. The restaurant was very helpful with our diet. Very good indeed.
