Liked: Nice, friendly staff and a fun environment. The idea of sleeping in a "boatel"is great. Downside is the size of the rooms and beds. For a young couple the size of the bed was barely acceptible, but I wouldn't share that bed with my best mate:) Linen could be better too. If the rooms would be a tad larger for the same price, this would be one of the nicest hostels i've stayed in.

Liked: The staff were really nice and friendly. One of the staff members told us about a really great place that tourists don't know about. Its an old abandoned military base, with a great view of Berlin. This was the highlight of our stay in Berlin.

Liked: positiv: great location, very cosy, great place to chill, extraordinary to stay on a boat, very close to clubs, bars and restaurants and public transport.negativ: rooms very small, showers and toilets grubby.Ergo: For very little money you get a perfectly located (near east-side gallery) hostel with the extraordinary feeling of living on a boat. But you should not be to niggling.

Liked: We got upgraded from a second class double room to a first class ensuite double room so obviously loved it - our room was nice and airy and there were lots of nice little places to sit on the boat and enjoy the river. Location is close to U and S Bahn stations and close to nice restaurants etc. Reception staff were very helpful. Breakfast is a bit expensive for what you get but the lounge/bar area is very nice.

Liked: Great place, great location. The cabins weren't as small as some complained, though there's not much more room to do anything but lay on the bed (even in a double room).

Liked: Everything!! Staff gave a detailed list of areas to visit in Berlin, types of train tickets to buy, lots of useful information. It was great to be on the river and the location is pretty good. It was awesome. I would definitely stay there again

Liked: This is a great unique place to stay with excellent transport links, we had to leave early for a flight from Schoenfeld and getting the train to the airport was no problem. Also great access to other parts of the city. U1 taking you right to Ka De We department store a must for when the weather is bad!
