Directions to Hostel :

By Bus: ( ZOB is the central bus station). Buy a single ticket (currently € 2.10), and take the S-Bahn (fast train) to “Warschauerstrasse”. (see “Directions from Warschauerstrasse”)


By Train: When arriving at the newly built main station (“Hauptbahnhof”), you need to take the „S-Bahn” (fast train) to “Warschauerstrasse” station. (see “Directions from Warschauerstrasse”)

By Plane: Airport “Tegel” Buy a single ticket (currently € 2.10). TXL bus X109 to “Alexanderplatz', from there take the „S-Bahn” (fast train) to “Warschauerstrasse” station. (approx. 20min from 'Tegel' to 'Warschauer Str'). (see “Directions from Warschauerstrasse”)

By Plane: Airport “Schönefeld” SXF:
Outside the airport take the shuttlebus or walk (walkway with roof) to station. Buy a single ticket (currently € 2.10). You can take the Express train (RE), which runs every 30 minutes to “Ostbahnhof” or take the “S-bahn” (fast train) to “Warschauerstrasse” station.(approx. 30min from 'Schönefeld' to 'Warschauerstr') (see “Directions from Warschauerstrasse”)


Directions from Warschauerstrasse:

Once you exit the station you will be on a bridge. Turn left and follow the road; you will be going downhill in the direction of the river “Spree”. When you reach the traffic light, cross the street and then cross again (you are walking toward the Berlin Wall). Walk along the wall until you reach the second gate / opening. You will see the “Eastern Comfort” signage clearly. The walk from Warschauerstrasse will take about 10 minutes.

Schönefeld (Express bus) to “Ostbahnhof” ( a smaller train station in the former East), you will exit the station, walk towards the main road (Mühlenstrasse), cross the road, turn left and walk along the Wall until you reach “Eastern Comfort”. The walk from “Ostbahnhof” will take up to 15 minutes. There are lots of cabs outside the station; the ride should cost about € 5, if you have too much luggage for the walk.

By Car: all motorways to Berlin lead you onto the “Berliner Ring” (A10) (highway ring around Berlin). Take any exit leading you to “Berlin Zentrum”; look out for signs directing you towards “Mitte”/ “Alexanderplatz” .From here you drive towards “Dresden”/ “Köpenick” , from “Holzmarktstr” you drive further into “Mühlenstrasse” (this is the “B96” on your map) (remember, there are many 'Mühlenstr in Berlin, the address for your navigation system is 10243 Berlin!) (the former “wall” will be on your right when you drive along Mühlenstrasse). Just before you reach the end of Mühlenstrasse, you will see “Eastern Comfort”. Parking is free of charge and usually right in front of the gate.
