Justin FergusonI picked this place because it was the cheapest in Berlin for these nights, apparently a lot of others did as well and when I checked-in I was upgraded to a better room. The place had a lot of younger people in there, a lot of Brits and Americans (like most European hostels) and while I never once heard anything overly loud I can imagine that at times it might be. That said, the staff here was incredible, friendly and overly helpful. I had some problems with my bank on my last night and was not able to afford another night (I stayed longer in Berlin than expected), the cheapest room came to 16 euros or so (It's cheaper if you book through the internet), and all I had was 15 euros on me, they were willing to let me pay that and just make up the difference later, I declined and stayed with a friend, however at a time where every single American company didn't care about me and was willing to let me sleep in a park even though it was their fault, a random German company cared more. This meant a lot to me and I would book there again. |

Customer reviewThe hostel showers are amazing - never run out of hot water no matter how many people or how long you stayed in the shower, they are also very roomy. Room was a bit cramped (4 bed) as it was an awkward layout. Plenty of ventilation so room wasn't hot. Did not see rooms being cleaned throughout our stay and pillows were very flat and uncomfortable. Breakfast is an extra 5 euros - there is an excellent bakery (called the Back Factory) with very cheap food round the corner which i highly recommend. Located quite far from the city centre, although within walking distance if you are up for it! Train station very close to the hostel if not. |
