Liked: WiFi free of charge , no Global Gossip crap. Very spacious common room available 24/7 : also in the night. Good breakfast for 5 Euro. Quiet but central location. Lockers in dorm. Modern buiding and generous furnitures .

Disliked: No self - catering .

Liked: It was easy to reach (within directions from the page), the room was good clean and everything was OK, it was a hosten nothing more nothing less: good and cheap place to sleep

Disliked: everything was fine, the entrance was much better then the real place/rooms..., there was just one bathroom on the floor, so maybe with full-

Liked: Fast and Easy. No problem getting in and getting set up and it was 24 hour so I never had to worry about getting back at a certain time.

Liked: Although the hostel was a little further a field than other hostels central to Berlin, it was very easy to find and didn't take long to get to. The hostel was clean and comfortable and had a good vibe around the reception and bar area. The Amstel House staff were very friendly and helpful in answering any questions and were very encouraging in getting to know fellow travellers at the hostel. Overall my stay was very pleasant.

Liked: Clean, friendly and helpful staff. Rooms well accomodated with sink, desk, chair and showers clean. Well organised and good events on to meet other travellers

Disliked: School groups!! If you want quiet do not stay here. There were kids around all the time making noise and running up and down the halls. Also the beds were a bit uncomfortable. But that aside this is a good hostel and well run however its a big place and I prefer something a bit smaller and cosy

Liked: This was the best hostel we stayed at the whole time we were in Europe. The staff was great. Fede was awesome and he gave us a great free tour of Berlin. He was so excited about the city it made the tour so fun. Chris and garson (that is probably not spelled right at all, but he worked evenings) were so nice and friendly. We were leaving for munich the next day and Chris gave us lots of ideas for what we could do while we were there. The beers are cheap and good. They have a nice happy hour with really cheap beer. We wish we would have stayed in Berlin longer and stayed at this hostel more. The staff was so great to talk too. We loved them all.

Liked: It has the total hostel vibe that you look for when travelling. There was a bar in the common room, couches, computers, tables, tons of brochures, and the nicest staff. It was also very clean and had almost everything you could need.

Disliked: It was a tiny bit far- about a 40 minute walk to the main area. The metro was conveniently close though. I would not let it dissuade anyone from staying there- it was very nice otherwise.

Liked: Calm area around it, great to get down from the busy city life. Staff is incredibly fun, helpful and patient. Free Wifi in the lounge, cheap beds, great connection with public transport (busses & metro). Supermarket around the corner. The general manager even helped me out with a project for university. Burgers served there are terrific! Roommates were good companionship.

Disliked: Nothing. It's totally awesome. :)

Liked: I liked that there were so many bathrooms and that there was a plethora of food for breakfast.

Disliked: I didn't like the area it was in. Not good.

Disliked: the physical location of the hostel puts it in a kind of shady area where we found some unsavory characters

Liked: This guy Federico was great, he took me to a Berlin Bar and even invited me a Beer. He was very nice.

Disliked: Internet would fall easily and there is no kitchen.

Liked: Interesting house of historic importance. Basic facilities for reasonable price.

Disliked: Not enough light to be able to read in the lower bunk. Not kitchen facilities for self-use.
