Liked: Only the staff, specialy the "piccola ma forte" who recive me and say bye to me. Is kleen.

Disliked: Don't like the kitchen together with internet area, don't like only few toilets for many rooms.

Liked: RixPack Hostel in Berlin is a nice hostel in a very ethnic neighborhood. Supermaket, underground and heaps of places to eat cheaply just outside the door.

Liked: The hostel is located right across the road from an U-Bahn station and a supermarket. The staff are friendly and helpful. The some of the hostel facilities are a bit run down, but the building is full of character. If you're travelling with four/five people, then the 'creepy box' is very good value for money. it's a private flat (with a kitchen), which is separated from the other guests, but unfortunately it doesn't have a totilet/shower. The surrounding area is relatively quiet in terms of night life, but Kreuzberg is only a few stops away on the underground.

Liked: The free wifi connection

Disliked: The hostal doesn't has a good manteinance and cleaning routine. The facilities and the things are very old and ugly; the bathrooms were dirty most of the time and because of that the hall allways smell bad; Also the dont separate the womens bathroom from the mens bathroom, so it was very umconfortable to take a shower. And the worst thing of all, the beds have fleas (me and a friend were bit by fleas).

Liked: Staff were incredibly helpful, easy to find and quiet location.

Disliked: Toilets were completely RANK - one blocked and overflowing and the other caked in vomit :-S cleanliness in the rooms was good though.

Liked: The manager was very friendly and accommodating of my needs. The U-Bahn has a station right outside the door, so traveling to other parts of the city by underground was easy.

Liked: Nice sized kitchen. Free computer access. BYOB.

Disliked: Cleanliness was a serious issue- showers and such. Bed was very uncomfortable. Room had a nasty odor. No common area besides kitchen. NO OVEN.

Liked: Free Internet. Good location (near are shops and underground)

Liked: It is very near Rathaus Neukolln U7 underground train station and bus for Flughafen Schonefeld.

Disliked: Old dirty carpet in the room 32 on the third floor where I was staying. 2 of 3 computers where dead so the promised access to Internet was reduced.

Liked: Close to the underground train system to take you all over Berlin, and the number of food outlets near by was pretty good for choice.

Disliked: Need firmer pillows for the beds and thicker mattresses for the bottom bunks as I could feel the steel frame pushed up against my back as i slept.. well from what sleep I could get.. Locks on doors were difficult to lock and the shower ceiling was covered in mould.

Liked: The beds were fairly comfortable.

Disliked: There are a lot of stairs and no lift. Didn't like people smoking in the kitchen or their loud music. Some people were living at the hostel relatively long-term and tended to hog the work areas in the kitchen or dorm. There were no towels in the bathroom for drying your hands, or soap for washing them in the first place. On our dorm's floor, there was one shower/toilet room for about 30 people. The whole place felt a bit grimy and could really do with a bit of a renovation.

Liked: It was clean, organized, and the staff was very helpful. I got straight from airport to Rixpack thanks to their good directions, very good. Very good location.

Disliked: There was nothing I would say I didn't like at Rixpack.

Liked: The atmosphere was great and it was right outside a subway line so it was easy to travel around Berlin. The staffwere really helpful and the place was much cleaner than most hostels I've stayed in before!

Disliked: It was a bit too far out of the city centre to walk anywhere, but public transport is so cheap it's not really a big deal!

Liked: chance to meet with other backpackers of same background due to location of hostel

Disliked: lockers have extra costs

Liked: It was very friendly and it was easy to meet a lot of people

Disliked: There was an incident one night when an outsider was able to get into a room and sleep. Also some nights were very noisy.
