Liked: Location, value for money, character, staff, vibe, no noise pollution

Disliked: Toilet was far away from the room which is inconvenient in the middle of the night. While the room was spacious, the walls are very bare so some paintings/drawings, etc would give the rooms more character.

Liked: Nice atmosphere, in the middle of Kreuzberg 36 and a lot of like-minded guests

Disliked: My bedroom at the 5th floor was much less cozy and tasteful than the pictures I had seen on the internet

Liked: This room and bed were fine.

Disliked: Both the front door and our room door were generally unlocked - I did not feel like my belongings were safe. The showers in the bathroom were terrible.

Liked: Excellent location around restaurants and cafes in Kreuzberg, and very close to the metro. The atmosphere inside is very homey and cosy, with more of an old-time feel than a modern one. For example, yellow lights instead of fluourescent ones indoors. Comfortable beds and quiet at night.

Disliked: The linens were a very minor inconvenience because the hostel just gives you a bundle of covers and you have to make your own bed.

Liked: There were couches outside of the room not in the common area, you are given fresh, clean sheets upon arrival. At 10 euros a night you get what you pay for, but the location is good, very vibey area, nice part of the city

Disliked: The bathrooms were not cleaned often and half the toilets locked. I paid 30 euros for a lost key, the guy at reception did not realise my boyfriend had checked out at the same time as me and sent us an email saying he had not checked out.

Liked: Awesome cheap takeaway places nearby, free internet

Disliked: Lockers in rooms didn't all work, loud people at night, door to room didn't close, only two computers for whole hostel

Liked: It was cheap and somewhere to lie down. The interior was really cool.

Disliked: It was the noisiest place I have ever been. The wooden floor boards, squeaky beds and the slamming doors made it difficult to sleep. The staff weren't very helpful, they didn't know much. The atmosphere was lame, there wasn't much to do that facilitated "meeting" other people.

Liked: I loved the style of the hostel- filled with character and was a lot more relaxing than other hostels. The location was very good right next to the u-bahn and plenty of bars and cafés nearby.

Disliked: Perhaps a few more bathrooms

Liked: it is a great hostel, with nice and friendly stuff and others. It was great to stay there, and i will come to 36 rooms next year again

Liked: Inexpensive, good atmosphere, good location.

Disliked: Wireless internet signal's pretty rubbish in the dorms, though fine (most of the time) in the communal areas. Once you've paid there's no chance of a partial refund, even if you leave significantly earlier than first intended, with notice given.

Liked: Good value hostel, in a great laidback area for hanging out and quite close to awesome nightlife (Friedrichschain) and easy public transit anywhere else. Staff was nice, but mostly foreigners. Good atmosphere for meeting people.

Disliked: No breakfast, wi-fi somewhat unstable, kitchen a bit lacking, no activities available.

Liked: Was so easy to meet people in there, rooms are big and clean and the staff is very helpful. The location is perfect and the best for doing anything in the evenings.

Disliked: Almost nothing. Maybe just the fatc that in my room curtains were broken an the sunlight came in very early in the morning.

Liked: that it felt like i was in a shared house with mates, everyone one was so frendly & helpful.

Liked: It was fine for a hostel - had decent facilities and seemed quite social although I was just after a cheap place to stay. Was not modern was was clean and had all the basics.

Disliked: It was really noisy. I needed a cheap room for Berlin marathon and choose a hostel as it was a lot cheaper than a hotel but people on my floor were really loud and I didn't get to sleep before 5am.

Liked: The location was very good, and the atmosphere in the hostel was lovely with lovely staff, big social areas.

Disliked: The beds were soooo uncomfortable, the room was cold and we had to pay extra for linen, didn't sleep well at all.

Liked: Location was great

Disliked: There was a problem with the system so I had to switch rooms after one night which wasn't too problematic but still undesirable.

Liked: Great location in Kreuzberg, plenty of cool bars & restaurants in the area. Basic but comfortable accommodation, easy to meet people, will definitely be back.

Disliked: Lift not working, stairs can be a nightmare if you're legs are aching from walking all day! Smelly tramp/homeless guy in the room, made it very unpleasant for everyone else. There are plenty of showers in the hostel he could have used. Complained politely to hostel staff and they let us change room with no hassle or fuss - EXCELLENT! Quite a lot of younger people/students partying well into the night but hey that's part of the fun of staying in Hostels.

Liked: 24/7 open, clean bathroom, no waiting time for the shower

Disliked: our room was a bit messy, but it's no fault of the hostel but of the other roommates ;)

Liked: The lounge, building has loads of character, the location is awesome - it's such a cool neighbourhood.
