Liked: My friends and I had an excellent time @ the Grand Hostel Berlin.Very friendly people, delicious breakfast, and the bikes we rented were worth their money (by foot it is just too hard to get from one place to another).

Liked: This hostel is only about 4months old so everything is beautiful, the linen is still fresh, pillows fluffy, dooners warm and beds were great. Rooms are huge, single beds (no bunks), staff extremely helpful, breakfast was delicious and only 2.50euro for scrambled eggs on toast, free internet, drink prices same as on the street, good location to all sorts, very close to Berlin Wall (approx 7min walk), and easy to find - turn right when coming out station and its about a 2min walk. Probably the best hostel i have satyed in...

Liked: Everything was on a high level for a hostel. If theres a point of weakness it must be the showers, de doors from the showers are made of glass, so not a lot of privacy.But not the less, a perfect stay, I recomend it!!Michel Kelderman from Holland

Liked: Everything was really good! The only downside is the showers, would have been better if they were not transparent although it did not really bother that much. I have to comment that all the staff were really friendly, and even suggested a local restaurants to us which were really good and value for money!

Liked: It is new, modern interior, well organised, clean, rooms are decent and comfortable enough. The suites (very large, can't find them like this in most hotels) are even more worth your money! Staff is very helpfull and in good mood. Most memorable is the good (no, very good, or make it excellent) free internet access which has separate transmitters on all floors.Breakfast was available, but €5,50 p.p. in a hostel is a little bit expensive.Recommended!

Liked: The directions were not great to say the least, Just turn right out of Mockenbruke station and you will find it within 2 minutes on the right. The beds were very comfortable - a nice change from the monotony of 8 bed dorms. The bars was excellent and the staff very helpful. Coke at reception is cheaper than the bar ;)

Liked: Very nice place - great looking building, nice greek restaurant in 2 minutes where you can get nice dinner for about 10 euros (and free azu ). 20 minutes walking to Reichstag. It was best hostel I've visited so far. Very clean, very nice looking. Great 3 beds room. But have been confused with breakfast, had to pay 5.5 euros for it. But there should be some free one.

Liked: Was so close to the u-bahn. Hostelbookers directions to get to hostel from there were a bit poor- just said a 5min walk- but which way? I had to ring the hostel when i arrived and got wrong directions as they thought i was coming out of a different exit to the ubahn and had to ring again but otherwise very helpful, friendly staff.

Liked: its more a hotel its NOT a good please to meet people. its like the hostel is empty.. not cosy, long hallways with rooms. clean yess good beds bud id pefer to stay in a funplace

Liked: This is my first time giving a hostel a 100% rating, and there it is. I have only one grouse with this place, that the description doesn't make clear that the breakfast isn't included. (Nor is the breakfast buffet anything out of the ordinary for a Berlin Hostel.) But this is such a small complaint for a hostel so well maintained, so thoroughly stocked with friendly and helpful staff, and so in the heart of everywhere the Berlin traveled wants to be.

Liked: The hostel was excellent. It seemed more like a hotel and the staff were very helpful. My stay there was very good.However, the common bathrooms could do with some improvements such as frosted glass on the shower stalls and it would be good if the lights weren't motion-sensored as they would constantly turn off even while someone was in the shower stall.It would also be great if they added a lift for people with heavy luggage.

Liked: We stayed at a twin room. The hostel was nice, very clean, and had new furniture, pleasant atmosphere, lovely old classy building, quiet area near U-bahn, close to the city, free internet on computers, nice breakfast buffet for 4,5 Euros.
