The Grand Hostel Berlin is situated in the heart of Berlin where Kreuzberg meets Mitte. The listed building was built in 1870, but the interior is from 2009. We offer many free services such as W-Lan, an internet counter, bed linen and an invitation to an afternoon tea in our salon.

What makes us a grand hostel? It's certainly not just the historical building situated in the heart of Berlin but the infrastructure of the hostel and the service benefits of a hotel.

We offer a 24 hour reception desk, early check in or late check out free of charge (if available), modern and clean sanitary facilities, an invitation to afternoon tea, modern interior fittings, large lockable cupboards, a luggage room, informative staff, a map of Berlin free of charge, a luscious breakfast served daily until 12 pm (at the weekend till 2pm).

We also offer home made cakes and there is always a cold beer waiting for you at our bar. Other facilities include a music and television room, a public internet counter, city tours, bike rental and of course we will always have a free minute or two for you – and that's 24 hours a day!

You wont find any bunkbeds at Grand Hostel Berlin. Enjoy our really comfortable single and double beds. Linen is available for €2,50.

Accommodation Information

In the Grand Hostel Berlin you will find 32 rooms styled in a manorial way. There are beautiful "Sleeping Salons" of up to 5 persons and cozy single bed rooms. We offer community bathrooms and also en-uite double rooms.

All rooms feature lockable cupboards, a key card system and every bed has its own reading lamp. There is free use of W-LAN through out the building and a snug lounge area. We also have some bedrooms and bathrooms with disabled access. All our rooms have separate beds, no bunk beds.

Location Information

The hostel is situated in the middle of Berlin adjacent the Landwehrkanal (waterway). The suburbs Kreuzberg and Mitte meet here. You can either go to the Bergmannkiez with its noble buildings and their stylish courtyards or to Potsdamer Platz – the new Mitte of Berlin, or the multicultural area in SO 36 or to Checkpoint Charly in the Friedrich Street. Here you are in the center of everything by foot or by bike!
